the wind blows your hair gently, like a kiss,
like the grass swaying by the riverbank—
warm and waiting.
dip your fingers in the water
take the first step and i will follow you
lead the way and hold my hand
close your eyes, i'm right behind you.picture this: a quiet boy with nimble hands
a cool grace about him.
he smiles and the birds sing
he laughs and the stars twinkle just for him.when he tells you that he loves you;
you hold your breath.orpheus by the river
i'm only alive when you touch me
i know who i am when you're with me
so
when you leave
please look back on our time together
and remember that i loved you first.
