If you would like to change it to your preferred pronouns you may. Also can I just say I love German accents- Anyways this is my first ever one shot book so. Sry if it sucks. Y/N awoke in the middle of the night. They found themselves unable to sleep. They felt paranoid, as if something or someone was watching them from afar. They questioned if they wanted to wake their boyfriend, but when the reached over to his side of the bed, they found it empty. I swear, if he's up working... Y/N though to themself as they swung their legs out of bed. They sat upright, rubbing their eyes, before sliding off of the bed. Their feet met with the cold-wooded floor as they walked out of their room.
Y/N wandered down the hall, stopping in the kitchen for some water before walking of to Germany's office. Faint scribbles of pen scratching paper could be heard as Y/N grew closer to their boyfriends office. They let out a sigh, and quietly pushed open the door, and as suspected, there was Germany. One hand was propping his head up, while he held his pen with the other, tapping it lightly against his desk. His nose was scrunched up a bit, and his glasses slowly slipped down his nose as he focused on the paper in front of him.
"Germany." Y/N said quietly. No response. "Germany." They said a little louder. This caught his attention. Germany glanced up from the paper, and looked at Y/N, before glancing back down. "Hm?" He mumbled, his voice scratchy and tired. Y/N had noticed bags under their lovers eyes from lack of sleep. Germany blinked slowly as he still focused on the paper.
"Germs, come on, staying up all night every day isn't good for you." Y/N sighed. Germany groaned. "Y/N, I have to get these done, give me a few more hours." Y/N glanced at the clock hanging on the wall close to them. 3:42 "Baby, in a few hours it's going to be morning." Germany stayed quiet, his eyelids slowly shut, before he snapped them back open again and continued reading.
Y/N walked over to the country's desk, and glanced at the papers their loved was so focused on. "Germs, these are due in two weeks." Y/N sighed. Germany rubbed his eyes and adjusted his glasses. "The sooner I get them done the better." He grumbled. "Please Germany, just one day, take a break for one day and I'll let you be." Germany hesitated before responding, "Fine." He mumbled. He slowly stood up, and sleepily walked to the door with Y/N following close behind.
They walked into their shared bedroom, and Germany took of his glasses, and flopped onto their bed, not bothering to change. Y/N laid down next to the country, and threw the blanket over both of them. Y/N snuggled closer to Germany, hugging onto their lover tightly.
"I love you, Germany." Y/N mumbled against his chest.
"Ich liebe dich auch, Y/N." Germany mumbled back.
Y/N smiled before drifting off into sleep.
