Missing Ginger Already

"Dinner was really good Mum, thanks."

"Your welcome sweetheart, I'm going to go to bed now; don't go to bed to late."

"Ok, g'night Mum."

I grab my phone from the dinner table and head upstairs. I turn on the lamp on my bedside table and then fall back on my bed.

Bing!

I turn my head to look at my phone to see who had texted me; Ginger, again.

'Hey, how is it in London so far! ;)'

'Good, thx for checking up on me!'

'Can I call u?'

'Ya, sure!'

'Kk'

My phone starts to blast Crazy Beautiful Life, by Ke$ha. I immediately pick up, eager to talk to my best friend.

"Hey!"

"Hey Ginger, what's up?!"

"Nothing much really, I miss you so much!"

"Me too! You need to visit soon!"

"I want to, but remember I'm going to Australia for the whole summer."

"Oh, yeah. Well maybe when you get back you can come!"

"Maybe, hopefully!"

"Haha, yeah!"

"So, any boys in your neighborhood?"

"No Ginger! Haha, no boys; but there's this girl next door who looks about our age, so I'm probably going to ask her if she wants to grab a cup of coffee with me at Starbucks tomorrow around noon."

"Oh, ok! Don't let her replace me though, haha!"

"No! No one can replace my best friend!"

"Ok! Call me tomorrow and tell me how it goes!"

"Ok, I will! Love ya'!"

"Love ya' too!"

"Haha! Bye Ginger!"

"Bye!"

Ugh I miss her so much! I turn to look at the clock, 10:47pm. I guess I'll go to bed now. I plug in my phone and set it down on my nightstand. I pull the covers over me, turn off my lamp and let sleep overtake me.
