Chapter One

        A beeping sound woke me from my peaceful sleep. I opened my eyes and rays of white light flooded into my vision. I moved my head the the left to see a heart monitor beating a steady rhythm. I looked down to see needles poking into my skin and my arms painted with black and blue spots.

        “She’s awake,” A voice started.

        A blurry body was standing next to me. I rubbed my eyes and his face came into view. My best friend Caspar Lee (A/N: Yes the YouTuber Caspar Lee) was standing over me trying to read my expression. I groaned and tried to sit up. Pain flooded through my body. I huffed and flopped back down.

        “How do you feel?” Caspar asked.

        “Like I got stampeded on by a herd of elephants with diabetes.” i groaned out.

        He chuckled and shook his head.

        “What happened?” I asked.

        “Well, we were walking back to our hotel on the first day of VidCon and a car was speeding down the road and you didn’t see it so you were hit.”

        “I was so scared,” He responded. “I didn’t think you were going to wake up again. Joe (A/N: Joe Sugg from YouTube)  came rushing over and started yelling for someone to call 911. Everything was so hectic. I was so scared Poppy.” He said with a distraught expression painted onto his face.

        “Well i’m here now Caspar, thank you for staying with me.” I smiled.

        He leaned over and tried to give me a hug but i winced. He muttered an apology. He started to pull away but I grabbed him and wrapped my arms gently around his neck. He combed his fingers through my long brown hair trying to sooth me.

        “Where are the others?” I questioned.

        “Joe was too much of a mess to come here and the rest are at the convention center forthe last day of VidCon.” Caspar replied

        “I’m sorry you had to miss VidCon for me,” I muttered glumly. “Maybe we could have a YouTuber meetup tomorrow? With all of us YouTubers and the fans?”

        “Yeah sounds great! Let me tweet it and text the rest of us.” He said excitedly

        “Alright miss Poppy I need to inform the Doctor that your awaking so sit tight and i will be right back.” He said while walking out of the room.

        I Looked in the mirror that hung on the bland white hospital’s wall across the room. I saw a girl that wasn’t me, my face lined with cuts and bruises. My chocolate locks were in tangles and dark bags hung around my eyes.

        The Doctor bursted into the room with Caspar trailing behind him with smiles and all.

        “Hello Miss Rollins, my name is Dr.Westly, you were in quite an accident if I do say so myself. Two of your ribs are broken and your right arm  is fractured.” The Doctor informed me. “You will take two of these every morning and every night for the pain.” He said holding up a bottle of pills. “And you will come to see me in three weeks for a check up. Other than that I will sign some forms and you are free to go.” Dr. Westly smiled and exited the room.

        Caspar got up from the chair in the corner and placed a bag on my bed.

        “Here i grabbed some of your clothes from the hotel so you could change. Do you need help?” Caspar asked.
