A shaking in the distance wakes up Xenith from her slumber. The amount of data-quakes had steadily increased over the last few weeks. Xenith stood up and slowly walked over to the open window of her bedroom.
The wind slowly blew her sky blue hair out of her face, revealing her gray eyes. She looked over the landscape of the digital world that she called home. The silver robes that she wore to bed pulsed with the soft blue light that everyone's clothes in Zenos had been doing since the creation of the strange world.
"That is the second quake in two cyber-phases. Something is definitely wrong," she said to herself. She would have warned the Zenosians in the village closest to her, but they were a three cyber-phase trips away. She would have lived with everyone else, but they didn't approve of the fact that Xenith trained with the world's leading Digi-Knight. She could already beat most of the Silver Guard, the elite force of Digi-Knights vowed to protect Zenos.
Not that they ever needed them. The most exicting day in Zenos that Xenith ever had was the day that she accidentally ventured into the boys' shower house when she was five. But that was ten years ago. Nothing exciting ever happens here anymore.
Xenith looked up at the stars and found the one named Draxus, after the great warrior of legend. It hadn't even been there three months ago.
"I wish something interesting, besides these cyber quakes, would happen around here," she wished to the new star. Little did she know, that wish was going to come true.
