Today is a day that marks the beginning of something big, today is the first ever reaping of something called the 'hunger games', I'm kinda scared but kinda excited too, although we were pretty loyal to the capital during the rebellion so I have no idea why we have to participate in these 'games'
I head down to the town square and the leader of our district comes out on stage and starts talking about the hunger games.
When she tell us that only one person can make it out it kinda freaks me out, at this point I'm absolutely terrified.
She goes over to the female names and pulls a name out of the bowl and reads it "Allison Emerald" She calls out as Allison walks onto the stage.
She walks over to the right hand side of the district leader as the district leader walks over to the bowl of boy names and reads one "Cassius Heath".
I look around hoping someone would save me but no one volunteered making me the boy tribute.
I walk onto the stage and stand on the district leader's left hand side.
She grabbed our hands and lifted them up as I looked at Allison kinda scared, but knowing what I needed to do.
