Chapter 4 - Believe

Ron has been consistent in showing affection towards Tiffany. But he is still not confident enough to give his full commitment. It's like he is holding something back from himself.

A few weeks have already past since he and Tiffany started going out. He is dedicated in getting the heart of the girl. He often accompany her after work, sometimes at lunch breaks he treats her to a good restaurant. But there is still something that makes him feel off. As if he is scared of being rejected to the point that it hinders him from trying in the first place.

[ Ron's POV ]

I walked Tiffany home often every day. Sometimes, i ask Reid to do my part if i wont be able to. That's what I love about my buddy. He's always so reliable and he never complains, not even once. And I know that we had the same brain waves in terms of being gentle towards girls.

My schedule at work everyday differs depending on the scheduler. Our time needs to be flexible enough for instant adjustments in case something comes up. So once in a while, i work morning or night shift. That applies to everyone as well.

A month has passed since new year, lots of interesting happened for a short period of time. Specially the time Tiffany was hired. It really added colors in my life. Well I'm still pretty shy to others. I still cannot bare to be around with a lot of people unless Reid is around to set a mood.

But whenever I'm alone with Tiffany, I just can't make myself to stay shy. I like her. Not that I got to love her at first sight, but many days had passed, I had not known that I already harbor feelings for her. I had the chance to get to know her more. The coincidence when I saw her almost everyday on my way to work really helped me figure out a way to get close to her.

Tiffany and I sometimes talk about stupid things along the way. I crack her some jokes that I learned from Reid. We share likes and dislikes. Tiffany likes cats as well as I do. I like cat because I can see myself to it. Silent and sly type is just my thing. And a bit clingy sometimes.

Her sister seemed to trust me enough. Sometimes her sister invites me to dinner to their apartment. I really get to know a lot from her now. But I can feel that Tiffany is still scared to commit and it makes me hesitant to move forward as well. Maybe she already likes someone. Glen perhaps? I don't think I was friend zoned though, but I'm not treated romantically enough to build me encourage into make a move on her too. I'm getting mixed signals from her. I just cannot figure out what is what. I'm so confused.

" Ron to earth? Hello? ", Reid said.

A hand is waving in front of my face. I did not notice that I was already spacing out. We are currently working side by side at the kitchen. Reid was in charged of the fry station while I backed him up. This guy does pretty much everything around the kitchen.

I handed him packs of cold cut chicken wings from the cold storage.

" Mind to spill the beans? What're you thinking?", Reid said while breading the chicken.

" Buddy, am I doing the right thing?", I asked.
