Birds gently chirped out my window as I let out a yawn. I glance to the window on my right, which holds a beautiful view of planet Wormia.
Soon to be my planet, I thought, with a hint of dread. In all honesty, I didn't want to rule. I wanted a normal life. But no, I'm princess Novella, the rightful heir of Wormia. I slowly sat up in bed, and let my feet dangle. Today was a beautiful day: The sky was a clear, a prefect sage green, and the grass was a soft blue (you see, this was normal for planet Wormia.) Too bad it would be wasted on tea and official business instead of a delightful picnic and a swim in the ocean.
I picked up my simple round black glasses that were sitting on the elegantly carved night table. I was about to put it on until I remembered that today I had to wear the fancy pairs. I sighed. They were really heavy on my face and scratched my skin. I put the black glasses back, wishing that I could wear it for once.
I waited for a maid to come in and I glanced at the clock. It was close to four. Never woke this up in the morning. I usually woke up at seven, so I would have three hours all to myself. I grinned a bit to that idea.
I quickly went over to the giant walk in closest and went to the very back, behind a large puffy white dress. There. A fancy box, decorated with jewels, laid and I reached for the lid. Being opened, a bunch of t-shirts and casual jeans sat exposed, looking welcoming and comfortable.
I quickly slipped a purple t-shirt with a symbol of my favorite star, Polaris on it. I have no felt this kind of heaven before. If only dresses were like this and weren't itchy as frick, I would been so happy to oblige.
I pushed my left leg through the pants and adjusted the jeans a bit. I tucked my shirt in my pants, giving it a puffy look. Best. Look. Ever. On my feet where white tennis shoes. Do you know how good my ankles felt after an eternity of wearing heels?
Brushing my hair into a sloppy low ponytail. I rushed out of the closest, as my matcha green skin tingled with comfort. I look around for some more until I found a black back pack with constellation patterns behind a drawer. Good, no one found it yet. I slung it across my shoulder, making it sag a little.
