"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"We're going to see the Fireworks display" he answered.
"Oh my gosh, really?" I exclaimed. I really like fireworks, though. He nodded in response as we got up to the stairs, up on the hill in the park. It's 11:50pm, actually. . . any moments, the fireworks will explode up in the sky. As we reached the top of the stairs, we started breathing heavily as we leaned at each other's back. Louis is such a good friend, well . . . Bestfriends, actually.
I never admitted my feelings towards him, only me, myself knew it and no one else. I checked the time again. Then I heard all the people count downstairs.
"Ten
Nine
Eight
Seven
Six"
I promised to myself that I'm going to say it to him, right now. But I really don't have the courage to say it directly to him. I'm afraid that he might rejected me.
"Five
Four
Three
Two
One"
"Hey, (Y/N)" I heard Louis called. I turned to look at him with a curious look.
"Wha--" I was cut off by his lips smashing onto mine. I felt fireworks inside me, And I noticed the fireworks display has started. I quickly broke the kiss as I leaned against his shoulder and watched the fireworks.
"So, you love Fireworks more than me, aye?" he joked. I turned to look at him and gave him a quick peck on the lips before I turned back to watched the Fireworks.
"How'd you know that I like you" I asked him.
"Ouch" he fake-hurted.
"What?" I asked.
"I thought you love me. And it's pretty obvious everytime i'm with you, ya know" he replied.
"So, you're not joking" I asked him, he nodded.
"Well, I like you too, but" I paused.
"But what?" he asked.
"But, I'm afraid that you might rejected me" I answered.
"No, I'm not going to do that to you, love. I started to like you when the first time I met you, then my feelings developed on you" he said as he pulled me closer to him. I rested my head on his chest and listen to his heart, thumping like crazy.
"I-I love y-you" he stammered as he looked at me.
"I love you too" I replied as our lips met again, this was more passionate and careful.
So we spent our New Year, up in the hill, watching the fireworks as it exploded up in the sky.
