She hesitated. Fear was practically radiating off of her skin and penetrating the air around her. It wasn't hot like you think it would be, it felt normal. Because it was Hell, literally Hell. It was made to feel normal because she was only a visitor with a simple plead.
"Step forward child" he summoned. She stepped forward only an inch closer, the fear was rank to him, the Devil of course. "Will you stop that scaredy-cat nonsense! You came here on your own terms what do you want?" He was curt. His features were attractive nonetheless. He was once an angel was he not? He only fell from heaven, that's why he's here. The King of Hell.
She searched way down deep, searching for the courage to speak up. He beat her to it though.
"You humans, so silly and weak. Always wanting to trade. So your brothers sick? With what child?"
"Well you see sir," she stammered, "he's got Osteosarcoma and the survival r-rate is about seventy percent. He fell into the thirty percent that won't make it. Surgery won't help him now. I just want to save him b-because h-he's a go-"
"Nonsense child nobody is a good person. If he is so good," He spat the words out like they burnt his tongue. "Then why have you come to me, the devil, to save him? If he is so good won't he go to heaven? And have eternal life? Am I not correct in this?" He mocked. He knew her where her faith stands. She was a follower of Christ but she was desperate.
This stumped her. He had a point. If she was correct in her faith, and now that Satan himself admitted its truth, then why is she here?
"Come here." He summoned her to his stance. She slowly walked up, terrified of his next move. When she arrived at his position she looked immediately down. Afraid of what she'd see. He reached out to her chin and gently pulled her chin up to see her face. He studied it thoughtfully. Her soft grey eyes, which earned her the name Storm from her ever so hippie like parents, sat upon her soft cheeks. Her pink lips trembled afraid of his touch. Heat rose to her cheeks and her eyes began to tear up, threatening to spill over.
He moved his lips down to hers, to give a soft peck. "There. Your brother should be fine. Go home Storm."
Her chest felt empty. This crater ,where she guessed her soul had been, began to form.**A/N**
