After about a week in a whole new decade, I have some semi-positive feelings about this era, I somehow haven't died from boredness. I haven't made any friends but I haven't even left the house, other than to get some food with my mother. On the topic of my mother, I feel like I trust her now, I still haven't figured out why I time travelled, but I find myself sometimes not even wanting to go back to 2021. I sit up in my bed at the sight of the sunrise behind my sheer curtains and run to my window to look at the pinkish-purple sky. It's beautiful but I need to get ready for my first day. I scramble to the bathroom, do my basic routine like brush my teeth, wash my face, etc. Then put on a basic outfit out of my very outdated but very trendy wardrobe. I pick out some light wash shorts and an ill-fitting blue shirt, I just leave my hair down for today because I don't want to seem uptight. I take my converse to the front of the house and set them by the door for later. Then walk to the kitchen and wave to my mother, "Hey sweetheart, you look marvellous!" she says as she gets up to hug me. "Well, I don't know if marvellous is the word but thanks, mom." I say timidly, she chuckles "Well you're a product of me of course you're marvellous!" She then hands me a plate of waffles that I most definitely won't have time to eat but it's whatever, I appreciate the thought. Right after I sit down mom says "y/n it's time for you to start biking off to school," as she opens the garage for me to exit. I start to panic. BIKE I HAVE TO BIKE I haven't ridden a bike since we lived in TEXAS. But I don't show that panic, instead I walk out of the house into the garage while waving to my mother. I swing my leg over the bike and sit down gently, I grasp the bars and push my foot off the ground, I soon get the hang of it when I reach school so I don't look like a total fool. I look around for a bike stand and chain my bike to it, "Nice bike," I hear a soft voice say behind me, I then turn around to be greeted by a brown-haired boy waving at me and smiling. He looks nice so I'm not going to ignore him "Thanks, my mom got it for me," I say "Well y-yeah, wh-who even has a summer job." he chuckles "I mean well by choice," I didn't even say anything funny but he starts laughing and I follow, through my chuckles I ask him his name, "Oh yeah sorry, my names B-Bill," and smiles. I think I'm gonna like this kid.
