Many years ago. Before the corruptions of humankind, there was an island across the ocean. Where no human dared to go!
An island shaped like a half-moon, surrounded by tall jagged mountains with dangerous rocks, and sands as black as the dark side of the moon.
On that island, where no human being dared to go....there was a mountain that constantly spat lava droplets over the top...going downward, plummeting into hot magma, there's smoke flowing through the air like ribbons. Down on the rocks laid a fairy on rock.
She was tan skinned, pointing ears, black flowing hair, and eyes like soft honey crystals, her wings were like big pieces of rainbow crystal glass and she lay there nude.
The bubbling of the lava and vibrations of the earth awoke her.
She slowly moved to her side and winced her eyes slowly open, letting out a soft yarn. She then spoke in a soft deep voice "I'm too tired for this".She got herself together, standing on two feet she balances and tip toes then her wings flutter taking her up to the top of the volcano. She then lands on giant heart shaped leaf, she then proceeded to lay down and tried to fall asleep once again. "If I have to deal with this again, I rather not" she mumbles in a frustrated tone. The earth trembled and shook violently, she hastily got up "okay! I'm up!" She says, not so happy but does what she has to in order to calm the shaking, and slight eruptions. She turns to a large cloth like a bed sheet, it seems to have stains like dirt and earth on it. She flies to the end of the island, but is this really an island? No infact, this island was special. She fluttered down to the dark sandy beach and called out to her friend "Bastian! You are sneezing in your sleep again! It's time to clean your nose!" She yelled out, there was silence. Could she be taking to her self? Not at all for you see, Bastian, whom she was calling out for is the island, and this island is on the back of a great big sea turtle! His head raises out of the ocean like a giant island forming ontop of the water. He makes a loud groan sound "Let me see your nose!" She says, he raises his head out of the water and waves crashed on the beaches shoreline, getting all over the fairy, her hair dripping wet, she shakes it off and flies up to his nose and places the large blanket over his two nostrils "now Bastian, blow through your nose!" She says hold on tightly to his nostrils, Bastian did what she said. He breathed in very roughly then blew. The fairy was holding on very tightly, she had done this before so that she wouldn't fly off again. When he was done, she pulled the cloth back and placed it on the island near a tree, then came back to the turtle. "Bastian, you are my friend and my greatest treasure, my life is shared with yours. If you need anything let me know, I will surely come to your aid" said the fairy, Bastian looked puzzled with shut eyes, and then he spoke.
"Madame fairy, or fairy...I have known you for quite some time know and I still do not know your name...I would have called for you if I knew!" Said Bastian, she looked off in the distance "oh!...I'm sorry Bastian, but I don't know if I have a name...I've mostly been on my own all of my life, no one has given me a name" said the fairy, she looked really sad and Bastian had this feeling came over him "Well, I could give you a name, If you'd like?" He said, she had a sense of delight came over her, she smiled brightly "will you? Oh please?" She says, her eyes sparkled in the sun light. On his turtle face, a small smile formed "I shall call you Wisteria, for it is the name of the tree that you nurtured on my back, its beautiful and has the most unique smelling flowers I have ever smelled" he said, she pounders what he said "Wisteria...Wisteria! It's amazing, from now on that shall be my name!" She says.
To be continued...
