Chapter 1

  

"Oh Marie, be a dear and come out. . I won't hurt you."

My breathing was rugged, and rough. It was almost midnight and my mother was on her last pill. My mother always took pills that were not from the pharmacist but from a shady man named white fang.

"Baby it's just me you know, your mother, you know i wouldn't hurt you"

The door creaked open and it revealed my mother who looked horrible. Her hair was strung from each side of her face and her eyes were bloodshot and almost bulging out of her face. I was terrified, I was 15 years old and I was 3 hours until I would be put in the social services protection, protection away from my abusive mother.

CLANK.

My mother threw something on the table I was hiding in the cabinets. I was holding the handles so she would not be able to open it. I texted my dad, teacher and the social services and i had gotten a text back that said the police were coming but we lived at least 12 minutes from the nearest police office so I had to hold on until they got here in 3 minutes.

SLAM.

My mom ripped open the cabinet she saw me and smiled "oh darling welcome now dont worry we are just going to have some fun"

"M-Mom please let me g-go"

"Why~"

"I'm scared, please" i could feel tears starting to fall and my throat started to go dry"

"Why. . im your mother, why would you ever be scared of your mom?"

". . ."

"Oh are you thinking you would be better off with your dad, HUH!"

"NO- i-I mean no"

"LIAR!!!!!!!"

Time skip

The police pulled up into the house hearing nothing, "okay sector 3 move out sector 1 and 2 come and secure the outside." chief haring said while pulling on his vest with his hat tilted on his head.

Soon another car pulled up. It was a black Tesla and it belonged to Luke Carter, Marie's father and Chelse's ex-husband. "Chief, I'm here please tell me what has happened!"

"Sir, I need you to stay outside until we give the all clear"

A blood curdling yell was heard from inside the house and everyone froze. Someone from the side lines yelled "chief should we engage now, the girl could be in danger"

"OKAY I WANT SECTOR 3 TO GO INSIDE THE HOUSE AND CHEEK FOR ANY DANGER!!"

"YES, SIR"

While the group went inside Luke was pacing back and forth, he had gotten a divorce from Chelse when he found out she was having an affair with his co-worker for 3 years. And when they went into the divorce finals Chelse had gotten full control of when Marie went to Luke and when she came back, so usually Luke does not get to see Marie all that often. "Chief don't you dare send that man into this house no matter what and call the medics and the psychotic hospital NOW!"

Usually the Chief would yell at the officer for bossing him around but he could tell that this rookie means business and if he didn't do anything something bad and disastrous would happen.
