After and hour of my mother warning me against parties and boys, she finally makes her way to leave. I felt slightly embarrased that she was saying it all in front of my room-mate. I begin to unpack and fold all my clothes neatly when there was a sudden knock on the door. Vannesa walked over to open it, and there he was, the guy i saw earlier, the one that chuckled at me.

"Vanessa, i need to talk to you about something...Alone" i rolled my eyes, i wasnt getting out of the room because i still had to sort things out, homework, classes, almost everything else. They walked outside. I really was tempted to know what they were saying

I lay on bed exhausted. Vanessa had gone out. Already loneliness had crept its way up and it doesnt help that my rommate is gone. I wish i could get to know her a bit. or maybe we could study together?

"Nah," i said out loud, she seems like a party freak while im just a study freak.

Before i went to bed,i gathered my textbooks and planners for the next day. Taking as much time to write all my classes and revise so i dont get lost. I would take my rusty old car to the campus, i hope no one sees it, it is embarrasing.

The next morning when i wake up at 5:00am. I see that Vanessa is fast asleep in her bed. I got up a bit more when i saw a guy next to her. The one i liked, well not really liked, but  i thought he was cute. i grabbed my toiletry bag and headed straight to the showers. This is one thing that i disliked most. Community showers, why cant we have a shower for each dorm room? i prayed to god that they werent co-ed until i walked and so both a female and a male drawn on the door. This is extremely uncomfortable i thought.
