*Avery's POV*

I woke up in a hospital bed confused,scared and in pain. I overheard the doctors saying that I was lucky to be alive because a bullet had hit me right in my back close to my spine. Good thing they got it out in time. I lifted up my to see my mom, Ayesha, and the doctors standing around me. My mom looked at me and yelled " Thank god my baby is okay!" Ayesha looked and said "Avery I thought I lost you." Danielle's parents walked in and said " how you doing sport?" I mumbled "fine thank all of you but where is my girlfriend." They all looked at each other, and her mom said " well honey she - ss- she is in a coma.." I looked around the room in anger and hurt. My mother must knew what I was about to do because she got up and came and hugged me saying " baby don't cry please stay strong for dani and her parents." I laid my arm across my head blocking my eyes and began weeping. Everyone huddled around me and said " we love you Avery just know that." I cried and said "mama I never got to propose." I said Looking around for the ring. My mom hold it up In her hand and said " awee baby don't worry you will get to trust me." Dani's father looked at me and said " Avery I'm glad my daughter met you son welcome to the family." I smirked trying to laugh but I couldn't because I needed Danielle in my life. The doctors signed my discharge papers because I was good to go but I wanted to stay here with my woman. I asked "can I please see Danielle." The nurse responded " room 215 honey." I walked down there with a quick pace. Soon as I entered her room tears filled my eyes. I looked and seen the woman I was in love with on all these weird ass machines. This shit Hurted me to my core. All I could do was fall on my knees at her bed while lying on her tummy. I cried for hours. Ayesha entered and walked over to me and said "Avery baby get up..stop crying," she wipes my eyes. *3 months later*

*Averys POV*

I haven't been to the hospital to see my Bae In a while cause my ma said I needed to get rested up so when she got out I would have time for her, but today I was going to take the nurse her clothes. I been thinking about what I'm gonna do if I see this nigga Lamont because I got word this nigga did this shit so all I know is when I see him it's over. I get up and do my hygiene thing and put on my red and black joggers with my sleeveless red and black matching shirt with my black timberlands. I make my way to the hospital and walks up to Danielle's floor and I opened the door and what I saw disgusted me I dropped everything, because I couldn't believe who I saw.
