All four team members sprawled across the floor were jolted awake by loud footsteps and a sudden eruption of clapping. "Rise and shine you lot, we've got some work to do today." As Hermione's eyes fluttered open from her brief nap, (what else was there to do?), she attempted to identify the voice that called out to them from the shadows across the room. A shiver ran through her body, but whether it was from the menacing tone and shuffle of movement or from the bone-deep chill of the room, she couldn't be sure.

"Who's there?" Ron's exhausted voice growled out loudly, the fear he had felt at first now replaced with frustration and impatience at being kept, quite literally, in the dark for so long. "Show yourself!" He demanded.

Slowly and menacingly, a pair of black-clad legs crossed the room, their feet almost silent against the hard floor. There was light from a single small window near the top of the nearby wall that illuminated the deep shadow of the mysterious figure.

"I thought for sure you all would recognize my voice, it hasn't been that long, has it?" The condescending tone of the statement struck a nerve within Harry and he blinked his eyes rapidly, begging them to give him the sight to identify their captor. But at the same time, he wished to never see the face of the one who approached them, as he was sure he had figured it out and wanted nothing to do with him.

"Malfoy." He breathed out, his nostrils flaring at the sight of his old rival in school. The two never got along and often would find themselves arguing over any and everything under the sun. And now here he was, towering over them with a malicious grin spread across his face at the helpless state of his peers.

"Ah, so you do remember me, Potter." He spat out the name as though it was poison to his tongue. "Glad to know I left a lasting impression. But now I'm sure you're all wondering why you're here, yes? I'll admit it's not the nicest arrangements, but then again, this isn't exactly a holiday gathering, now is it?" The way he spoke with such arrogance made their blood boil.

No one spoke in response to his rhetorical question. There was no need when they knew he would continue to gloat of their capture anyway.

"You see, we don't take kindly to folks sticking their noses into our business. And you lot happened to be doing just that, weren't you?" Malfoy circled the prone forms on the ground, arms folded over his chest, his attitude oozing dominance. Each of the members of Alpha Team attempted to follow him with their eyes, which was just a reminder of their predicament. "Yeeesss, you were." He answered himself and stopped pacing to face them straight on. "Now what on earth could you have been doing here, sniffing around where you don't belong?" He knew all along what they were doing there, he knew what he and his delinquent pals had done to warrant a visit from the Ministry's most elite team of agents. It's too bad the most elite team was overpowered somehow, if only they could remember what had happened.

"You know what you've done, Malfoy. We came here because you thought it wise to abduct a Ministry employee." Fred sneered at their captor.

"Well it took you long enough to notice. It was right under your noses."
