Jonas awoke. He stood up and looked around. There were red, blue, yellow lights, hanged up on a tree. Nearby were boxes that he recognized were presents, children would open them. He heard music.

Jonas was in Elsewhere. And he was glad, the exhaustion from before faded as he let all the love fill him. All the warmth in here, he found himself standing and smiling.

He looked over to Gabriel, who was still sleeping ever-so-silently, at dawn. Gabriel had a new garment, and his face was clean.

Jonas kneeled down, gazing at Gabriel. He mumbled, his voice profound with love, "We're here now, Gabriel. We are at Elsewhere," He looked around the empty room, yet it was oddly busy and kind, "Colors, feelings, you will get to experience them all, Gabe. The life that you never would have had if you stayed at the Community."

Then he placed a hand on Gabriel's hand, and concentrated on his memory; of love, delight, and family, where music buzzed and decorations sparkled. He gave a portion of it to Gabriel.

Yet he still had another memory.

This one was his own.
