Long before Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily were even born, Hilda had been friends with Lincoln, ever since their families used to be neighbors in her enchanted forest home. The Louds were their only neighbors to her and her mother Johanna. Both Hilda and Lincoln grew up together since they were toddlers and they loved to explore together in the forest. But the Louds were forced to move back due to thinking that the creatures, especially the trolls in the forest, were becoming "dangerous". Why is it that, you might ask? Here's why.
Lincoln had an encounter with a troll, and it nearly got him killed. That is what forced the Louds to move back to Royal Woods, making them see how "dangerous" the trolls were. Lincoln and Hilda promised that they will see each other again.
Years later, they still missed each other dearly. Lincoln wanted to see Hilda again after all those years.
Lincoln starts going to high school, while Hilda, her deer-fox Twig, and her mother Johanna, start to visit Royal Woods as Hilda becomes an exchange student, unaware that she and someone that he missed dearly will be reunited again after all those years.
.
"H-Hilda...?" Lincoln said, his eyes widened.
"Linky...?" The blue haired girl said quietly.
Time seemed to stop as their eyes met each other, Lincoln and Hilda both opened their mouths to try and say something to break the silence, but couldn't as something held them back.Their minds reached into a consensus that no words were needed to be exchanged. Their legs started to move, and they began to walk towards the other.
They immediately stopped dead on their tracks and they were close to each other. Hilda was the first one to move, as she smiled and wrapped her arms around Lincoln, enveloping him into a warm hug.
"I missed you." She whispered tenderly to the white-haired boy's ear. It took a few minutes to break out of his trance, before Lincoln slowly smiled back, returning the embrace.
"I missed you too..." He said.
The childhood friends just stood there in each other's arms in peace... with neither of them wanting to let go. It felt like eternity. However, unknown to them, a Hispanic teenage girl about Lincoln's age was watching the scene from afar. That girl was Ronnie Anne Santiago, and she had her eyes narrowed at Hilda. She doesn't seem to like the blue-haired girl one bit. She believed that she was stealing Lincoln from her.
"Don't think you can steal Lincoln from me, Hilda. He is mine." Ronnie Anne said.
