What if Jean Grey never existed, but Jean Maximoff did?
What if she wasn't just an enhanced, but a phoenix also?

Pietro had zoomed outside where the avengers were while Jean and Wanda stayed hidden inside and in the shadows. Pietro speeds around and deflects an arrow Clint shot that was also coming his way. As Clint goes to shoot another arrow, Pietro knocks him to the ground and asks smirking, "You didn't see that coming?"
After that Pietro says that he speeds away and Clint goes to shoot another arrow but Pietro is already long gone. The speedster then clashes into Steve, resulting in him doing a backflip as Pietro carries on running around. As all the avengers are taking on Strucker's soldiers, Tony makes his way down to a restricted basement lad and finds a secret door.

Strucker rushes down the stairs only to be stopped by the one and only Captain America. "Baron Strucker. Hydra's number one thug." Steve states.
Strucker just replies with,"Technically I'm a thug for SHIELD."
"Well, then technically you're unemployed. Where's Loki's scepter?"
Strucker just responds with ,"Don't worry. I know when I'm beat. You'll mention how I cooperated, I hope."
As he states that a red haired girl wearing blue, orange and black slowly comes out of the shadows. As he's still speaking the girl started to get closer to the two. "I'll put it right under, 'illegal human experimentation ,' How many are there?"
Suddenly he was pushed down the stairs by an unknown orange/red force. When he got back to his feet and ran up the stairs, the girl had already walked back up and closed the doors of a nearby hall and disappeared. As the Captain took out Strucker and informed the rest about the second enhanced, Tony made his way into HYDRA's secret laboratory.
Tony made his way around the lab, found the scepter and said into his earpiece, "Thor I got eyes on the price."
As he went to go for it, two figures made their way out of the shadows Jean and Wanda. Jean went up behind him and inserted his worst nightmare into his head. Jean's eyes glowed orange/red and so did Tony's.

Both Wanda and Jean stepped back into the shadows and made their way behind the pillar. Jean saw his nightmare. In front of Tony was his biggest fear; All of the avengers dead. Jean got out of his head as her eyes stopped glowing

Jean and Wanda watch as Pietro comes up in a blue streak behind them. Wanda and Pietro watched as their younger triplet did nothing but watch. As Pietro went to step forward Jean softly placed a hand on his chest to stop him from going any further. "You're just going to let him take it?" Pietro asked in disbelief.
Jean didn't answer instead she just wickedly smiled knowing her plan had worked as soon as Tony summoned his glove and suit to take him away.

The Maximoffs left the building amd did whatever they wanted. They were finally free and nobody could take that freedom away from them.
