*Two weeks later*:Tarian sat with thoughts of the beautiful journalist in her head, as she listened to the members of the House of Commons bicker like children over a bill that a young senator introduced. "You absolute git! What is it to understand? If we take away this bill, it would financially ruin us! We might lose potential allies and trade opportunities . It would make all of us, including the Queen look like bloody fools!", Senator James Bystrail exclaims as Senator Corden Jykll countered back, "This bill is a disgrace to the working class! It is outrageous and the majority of the House agrees that either way this bill is extremely controversial and would paint all of us in a bad light".
"This bill gives insurance to people we trade with, it would insure that both sides get the same values, interests, and economic aid"
"Its posh, its unfair to our citizens who work their asses off providing for our government and for their families!"
"You only want money for yourself! Thats not what the Parliament stands for, or the church!"
"You're extremely biased! You are just a child compared to me, ive been sitting in this position for 20 years and NEVER in those 20 years has such a preposterous bill been even thought of nor introduced to this sacred House!", Senator Jykll growls. Tarian rubbed her palm to her eye, her patience wearing thin with the two men. Simon, Tarian's politcal advisor stepped up and said, "You both have fairly reasonable ideologies but as you know both the House of Commons and the House of Lords were at a tie in terms of agreement. You all know what this means, correct?"
Both Jkyll and Bystrail sighed and nodded saying, "its up to Her Majesty, the Queen to present the final say on whether The Insurance Bill of 2021 will be passed". The room fell quiet as everyone looked at Tarian who leaned forward, intertwining her fingers together as she sighed and said, " This bill revises the Protection Act of 1938, correct?". James nodded and said, "Yes, Your Majesty". Tarian hummed and said, "I agree to passing the revised version of this bill, I will like to say that this bill is genius, economically at the very least. Great work, Senator".
Senator Bystrail smiled and bowed, sitting down in his seat. The majority of the House seemed to agree with The Queen's choice, and so Tarian shuffled through the next pile of documents, propositions from English citizens, bills, and other pressing matters before she pulled out one proposition that had been labeled: " Acknowledged", reading it over she realized she doesn't remember ever discussing it.
"Now, lets discuss this proposition from one: Rosanna Petros. Ms.Petros has proposed a higher wage for teachers, and to use the leftover money from taxes to establish an insurance for homeless men and women struggling on the streets", Tarian announces only for Senator Jkyll to object , "No, with respect ma'am.. we must discuss the terms of the last bill. Surely, you must understand its a slap to the face to the working class. Perhaps for you, since you're young you do not understand the grievances that will spike with the passing of this bill-"
"Silence Senator Jykll, you seem to have forgotten your place. I may be young, thats true, but I do know what I am talking about and this bill will offer us more financial stability to add to the foundation of this government, with this new bill it will help our trade partners internationally, gaining us allies. With more trade partners and allies, we will have the stability that we need to offer help to those in need"
"But Your Majesty-"
"The working class, are mainly built up of people who were born into wealth. Who have not needed to struggle as much as those who are on the streets, or even those in mid-income households and low-income households. Of course this bill will offer the Parliament with enough insurance to hopefully give us a financially stable foundation so therefore we can issue aid for those who need it, either domestically or worldwide. It is basic knowledge for anyone who has knowledge in business and treasury", Tarian told the man bluntly, her eyes holding immense disinterest and impatience.
