[ Highschool 3/3 ]

Norman pov :

A few days passed and it's becoming clearer that she's avoiding me, everytime I get close to her or talks to her she just find an excuse to leave.

It doesn't seem like she's avoiding Ray or anyone else, it's just me..

Did I do something wrong?

This is confusing..

It's the first period and I'm having class with Emma, she haven't arrived yet

I waited at my seat for Emma to come and maybe today she won't avoid me

A few minutes passed and she finally came, I stood up and went to her

"Good morning, Emma"

"Good morning"

...

"I-It's a bright day outside isn't it?"

"I guess"

I'm running out of things to say and it looks like she's going to lose interest having a conversation with me!!

I can't think of anything

"Hey, Emma.. are you.. avoiding me these past few days?"

She flinched, that's good, atleast I got her attention

"No- I mean yes, no I- what makes you think that?" I can see her panicking

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked

"No, no, you didn't, it's just, me I-",

A creaking sound came from the direction of the door, it was the teacher

Dang it

Emma quickly went to her seat and so did I, she looked relieved

Ahh, she hates me right?

Class finally ended and Emma is tidying up her books and tried to avoid me again

I'm not going to let that happen, I rushed out of the classroom and grabbed Emma's hand while she was trying to run away

"Norman?? What are you doing? let me go"

"Can't you atleast tell me why you're avoiding me? I'm really worried-"

Emma struggled free from my grasp and I fell backwards tried to hold her, she also fell with me, and now we're both on the floor

"Ah I'm so so sorry are you okay?" she stood up

"Yeah I'm fine, don't worry about it"

She just signalled a 'sorry' with her hands and quickly ran away, there's no way I can catch up to her demonic speed

I collected myself up and dusted off my uniform

What's this? There's a brown book on the ground

I inspected the cover but there's nothing in it, so I opened the first page

"Emma's journal"

...

Her journal?! Oh my god, I must be in a fanfiction or something, this is such a coincidence

And it's not like I stole it or anything, she just accidently dropped it. I'll return it to her after-school

I put the book in my backpack and went to the next class

2nd class ended and now it's lunch, I grabbed an apple and a sandwich and headed to the back of the school

It's really quiet and peaceful there, it's my favourite spot to spent my lunch in
