My spring story swap for the lovely VentusGoat
Ventus smiled as she spun around, her wedding dress was made of a black silky fabric, with white accents. Her wings and horns where adore in teal flowers and small mushrooms.
"Mommy! You look amazing!" Leo beamed up at her. He was dressed in a white tuxedo with light purple accents. His wings where warped in light lilac vines.
"So do you, bud" she let her wings drift down along her back.
"Hello May we enter?" Some ask as the they knocked on the door. She spun and open the door.
"Oh my! You look wonderful!" A voice she knew by heart spoke, as her father sweeped her into a hug.
"Thank you dad, is mom here too?" She asked hugging her dad back.
"Of course she is, she's with Your bride and Sunblitz" he grinned fixing one of her flower crowns.
"Mommy? Who's he?" Leo pipped up looking up at her dad.
"Aw buddy! I'm your grandpa." Her dad grinned letting Ventus go and kneeling down to be on Leo's level.
"Really!?" Leo looked at him wide eyed before tackling him into a hug.
"Aww family bonding!" Skipper grinned. Ventus looked towards skipper. She had found it odd that everyone in the kingdom of shadow and void had to be in their human forms to attend events. Skipper was tall, with tan skin and dark blue eyes. He was fit and still had his tail and fins.
"Everyone ready to get this Wedding started!" Skipper chirped smiling.
Time skip!
Ventus smiled as Skipper and her dad locked arms with her. Another Void tradition she was happy to follow where the fathers of the couple walked the bride down the aisle. Leo and Blitz happily locked their arms and held their baskets of flowers. Blitz was in a black tuxedo with white marks the opposite of Leo's outfit. The music started, a soft melody played on the piano and violin.
"Ready?" Her dad asked as they started walking. The aisle lead to a small platform where Oreo stood, she was breathtaking. Her black tuxedo with the white stripes, the teal flowers and mushrooms wrapped around her wings and tail. The dark purple vines twisted around Her horns. She was beautiful. Behind Oreo where who she guess was Mushy and Void. The shorter of the pair had half his face covered in teal and purple flowers, the same with his neck and left side. His wings where a fade from back to purple with white stripes on the ends, she couldn't see his horns or tail so she only guess it was Void. The taller of the pair who she guess was Mushy, was oddly tall around nine feet and had long arms. Their skin was dark, with long black hair braided back. Their eyes where oddly closed and their long tail flickered back and forth. She smiled as she stepped up onto the platform and entwined her hands with Oreo's.
"Hello Residents of the Shadow and Void kingdom, we are here today to celebrate the marriage of our queen Oreo and her bride Ventus." The shorter one who was in fact Void spoke fluttering his wings. His speech was short and beautiful. Before she knew it, it was time for them to say their vows.
"Ventus, I vow for in life and death, to protect and love, you, for better or worse until my blood runs dry." Oreo spoke softly slipping her Ring onto Ventus's hand.
"Oreo I vow for my mortal Life to stay by your side in life and death." She smiled and slipped Oreo's ring on. Void said a few more words before they walked together hand in hand down the aisle. They enter a small room, a table with an lantern, two pieces of paper, and a vile of ink.
"Oreo? What is this for?" She asked stepping towards the table.
"It's a tradition from the Void residents, when theirs a wedding the newlyweds write letters to each other then they burn them." Oreo dipped her claw into the ink and started writing. Soon they both finished and placed the letters in the lantern. Oreo said something in Pitch and smiled as the lantern burst into flames.
"What the-!?" She muttered looking from the burning lantern to Oreo.
"Don't worry I'll teach you some curses in Pitch soon." Oreo joked pulling her flower crown over her eyes and then locked arms with Ventus once again.
" why did you pull your flower crown down?" She asked moving her hand to put it back up but then Oreo jerked away.
"It's a tradition from both the shadow and void realm, the ruler has to wear their flower crown over their eyes, it symbolizes blinding yourself from the truth and only facing it with your other senses, not your sight, it's seem to bring back luck on any ruler who doesn't, so you'll be my guide okay?" Oreo asked.
"Okay, sorry for trying to put it back"
"Quite fine my love"
The after party was amazing, Ventus spent most of the night dancing with the residents of the Void and shadow realms, laughing and just having a great time. She found, Oreo, Void and the person from the ceremony. She got a better look at the person, they had their arms warped around Void's waist, they where in a black suit, the bioluminescent fungus that grew over mushy's body was weaved into small crowns and vines, they and Void also head flower crowns covering their eyes.
"Hello Ventus you look lovely!" The person smiled, looking towards her, their voice was quite and raspy.
"Thank you-" she stopped remembering she didn't know them.
"It's me Mushy, I forgot you won't have seen me and Void in our human forms." Mushy explained.
"It's quite alright!" She smiled. The four of them talked for quite awhile, the night slipped away and soon everyone broke away from the party. Oreo and Ventus had returned to Oreo's cambers and changed into comfortable sleep wear. Ventus hummed softy as Oreo looped her arms around her waist and soon the claws of sleep had them.
A/N 1027 words I'm proud! And yes Vows in the Void and shadow realms get quite dark, and the two well one realms have many traditions mostly for weddings since they see marriage as something important.
