Peppermint felt the cool ocean breeze fluff his fur. It was just before dawn, (he still didn't know how they decided on this time) the sky was painted in shades of soft oranges and pinks, the water sparked the reflection.
"It's nice out here isn't it?" Minty asked walking up beside him, they where the only two here as of now since they lived the closest to the beach.
"It's very nice still don't know how we decided on meeting up before the sun rises" he grinned.
"It's just Logical, Also in the shadow realm where up by 4 it's 5" a Voice huffed be hide then. Peppermint spun around to see Oreo, he still found it weird seeing Oreo in her human form. Her skin was pale with black freckles, her hair was white with a black part. Her legs where still dragon like, her wings and tail where smaller to look more normal. She still had her ears and horns, and her marking, she was dressed in a hoodie and swim shorts.
"Wow! The shadow realm seems like the best place to live," Minty rolled his eyes.
"Hey take that back!" Oreo yelled before taking off in a run at Minty. Minty bolted only nearly missing Oreos first attack.
"Oreo! No!" Cotton yelled running after them, Cinnamon walked down towards him.
"This is what happens when eleven idiots go to the beach" Cinnamon sighed. Peppermint laughed and flopped down onto the sand.
"You said it!" He chucked and smiled. The others came around 20 minutes later, giving Oreo enough time to cover Minty with sand up to his neck.
"Oh god do we even want to know why Minty is trapped in sand?" Ventus asked looking at the Snackie.
"If Carmel's girlfriend could take a joke we wouldn't have been here!" Minty yelled trying to get out of the sand.
"This is exactly why we don't piss off Oreo! She's a dragon and well where not" Gummy sighed before helping Minty out of the sand.
"Where is Oreo anyway?" Carmel asked. Looking around the beach.
"Last time I saw her" Cinnamon started before talking a sip of his water. "She was running from Cotton."
"And I out ran him" Oreo grinned running up to them.
"More like you flew away from me!" Cotton huffed walking behind her.
"Well at least no one died" Icey muttered.
"I mean Oreo is the one most likely to murder someone" Frosty snickered.
"Oh come guys she Wouldn't" Carmel huffed.
"You're only saying that because she's your girlfriend" Icey teased before stopping at the look Oreo gave him. After that they started setting up their spot and then started swimming. An hour or so later, a couple of teenagers came and kicked over one of their chairs.
"Hey freaks get out! Only normal People are allowed no Mutts!" One yelled and the others chuckled. Peppermint watch as Oreo got out of the water and walked over to them.
"Yeah scram! Over normal people allowed" she mocked crossing her arms, Oreo was only shorter then him and Minty. So she towered over the teens. "No Mutts who's only goal is to yelled at Snackies trying to enjoy their day" She hissed leaning down towards the teens. Peppermint could only guess what their faces looked like.
"So you said it yourself no Mutts allowed, Leave." Oreo's voice was cold. The one who yelled at them choked something out and they ran off the beach.
"Hurray! For Oreo being scary!" Frosty clapped. Oreo spun around with a small sand storm at her feet. "Do you really want to end up as Minty?" She asked.
"Nope! I said nothing!" Frosty yelped dicing under water. Oreo grinned. Soon it was nearing the evening and the eleven of them where seated by a bonfire. Carmel was flopped down in Oreo's lap her arms around his shoulders.
"Anyone wanna hear a ghost story?" Oreo asked breaking the quietness.
"We're all eyes but it better be scary!" Minty huffed.
"Well then, over a hundred years ago in the times of the kings and queens, their lived a beautiful girl. She was from the poorest part of the kingdom but A prince fell madly in love with her. But his father forbidden him from seeing her. The prince went insane from losing the love of his life. Then one evening the prince slipped a vile of poison into his father's wine. But little did he know the girl was standing on his father's balcony watching him," Oreo started folding her wings and curling her tail around Carmel's leg. "The prince's father died soon after he drank the wine, then the girl stepped into the room. A dagger in her hands. The girl was discussed with the prince, she looked up at him then leaped forward. In a quick movement she had the prince's eyes in her hands. Then she said a single word to the blinded prince 'insanity' before she disappeared into the night, never to be heard of or seen. Many still say if you in the castle you can see the prince calling out for his love." She finished laughing darkly.
