The plan was set. My options, decided. I was going to face Wilbur and set things straight. If all failed, I would wait in my house and muster the courage to run to Techno's place. Hopefully I can fix this mess, or hold off for as long as I can. I'm not sure how I feel about staying with Technoblade. It's a bit awkward to think I'll have to stay with him. HIM. After all, he did leave quite a bad impression on me when we first met. Though, even so, I don't want to be much of a bother.
Thinking ahead, and just for preparation, I kept the compass Techno had given me to his house. If somehow- something terribly wrong. I'd head straight there with no doubt, no hesitation. As for now, he was my safe spot from the evil nation of L'manburg and it's people.
I slipped on my natral attire, shoving the compass in my pocket. I slowly opened the door, peaking out to see no one around. I finally stepped outside for the first time in weeks. Then, the fear set in. My legs went numb as I walked. My footsteps being the only thing heard in the excruciating silence. Though, even if they were quiet, the sound of my heart was beating like a drum, ringing in my ears like a symphony that overpowered sound. What was I so nervous for? These were my friends. My family. Right? God, I wish I could just turn back now and go to Techno. This was a shit idea. What am I even thinking? Fixing things? Really? Please. Is this how I really am? When did I suddenly-
The door to the van creaked open. There, before me, were the demons. The demons I had to face because of my poor choices. They all stared at me. Was it with disdain? Distrust? I couldn't tell you at all. I was so fear ridden I couldn't even feel my fingers. I looked more afraid than I wanted too. I wanted to march into the van with confidence, but hear I was fearfulling gazing at them all with my chin up.
'Well! If it isn't FIONA! I haven't seen you in quite a long time. How have you been?' His voice rang in my ears. The once vanilla accent was infected with poison. He eyed Tommy and Tubbo, and they left through another exit in a hurry. Why? I became more afraid. Focusing on all the regrets of my moment. I could have avoided this! Here I thought I was the perfect being. A perfect human in my own eyes. I couldn't make mistakes. I was seen as a god in manys eyes! How could I be like this? Did I turn myself in to my own human nature? I'm perfect. Right?
'You haven't replied! That's funny. I don't mind though. You didn't come for idle chit chat did you?' He smiled. A mask I assumed. He got up from his seat, Niki and Fundy backing away. Almost like magic, he pulled out a sword.
'Why don't you go home now. Run back to that cottage of yours.' He was inches away from my face. His face hovering near my cheek.
'You..you're crazy Wil.'
'Fiona.' I couldn't answer. Trying to look away as he stared relentlessly into my eyes. A psychotic gaze. I soon met his as an answer. He paused.
'Get out.'
A strong emotion coursed through every part of me. Every vein in my body. I tore myself away from him, sprinting out of the van. I was only running on pure adrenaline. Of course I was right. I couldn't fix this. I should have just left already. I would have been safe by now. Even living with a stranger is better than what I'm feeling right now. What was it? Pain? Fear?
I stopped my thoughts and body full circle. Bright orange flames lit my vision. Lines started connected as I urgently put 2 and 2 together, connecting the dots.
Wilbur sent Tommy and Tubbo to burn my house.
Tommy stood in the front of the burning building, along with Tubbo who was standing next to them. They were watching my house burn like it was a fireworks show. I let out a cry of frustration as tears fell out of my eyes. They turned their attention towards me, watching as I ran into the house with a sense of urgency. I noticed their gaze. What was it that I saw? Was I imagining that they were filled with regret? Or, much less, would they even FEEL regret for burning my house down just because Wilbur asked?
I ran into the home, inhaling ashes as I choked and coughed. I ran to my bedroom, grabbing my sword, and my precious belongings. I ran to the kitchen to find food, but to no avail. The kitchen was gone already. I looked to the door, seeing the fruit basket Niki left me. It was a small picnic basket, so I pushed my belongings of importance inside. The house wasn't fully burnt yet. I still had enough time. I grabbed anything I might need incase it would take awhile to get to Techno's house. The fire was a ticking reminder of my little time. Feeling so rushed and nervous was weighing on me. But my thoughts snapped.
I can fake my death in this house.
That's right! It was the perfect plan! No one would come looking for me if they thought I was dead, right? I ran to the living room, standing over the broken glass coffee table. I picked up a shard, clutching it in my right hand. If I leave a little blood, maybe they'll assume I was cut on something and bled out. Then burnt to death? It was believable. I quickly sliced a deep, thick cut across my left hand. I'd have to wait to bandage it till I had gotten farther away. I screamed in agony, but I knew they wouldn't enter. I was standing in the middle of the room, the only way to enter, blocked. Debree had fallen in front of the door.
Now, I was trapped in. But I had other methods.
