When Keith went to ask Pico if he was okay(This was before he(Pico) died and became well Angel Pico) he(Pico) quickly spun and slashed a knife at Keith ending up cutting his(Keith's) hand. When Keith fell clutching his wrist, Pico realized what he had done and was gonna ask if Keith was okay but he(Keith) yelled that he was too dangerous and said "we're over..". Pico decided it was for the best.
A few years later Pico was still dealing with grief from the breakup.
(*sips some lemonade* Oop- sorry I wanted some lemonade so I made myself some lemonade .w.)
(Lemon Demon: How dare you)
(Shush it adult me XD)
(Lemon Demon: But- Smol me I thought you hated lemonade?)
(Nah)
(Back to the story xD)
After he couldn't deal with his grief anymore he went to Lemon Demon to ask for advice on how to be a better boyfriend to Keith once he got him back.
Lemon Demon: Well Pico don't always carry a gun around for one
Pico: B-But..
Lemon Demon: I know..the thing that happened at your school I know..
Smol Lemon Demon(Me! :D): Wait something happened at his school?
Pico explained from memory and started crying again after because he remembered that he had to shoot his girlfriend Nene to save her from the misery of the school shooting that happened.
Smol Lemon Demon would hug Pico and tell him it's okay if he had to shoot his girlfriend because he(Smol Lemon Demon aka me ^^) knew what it was like to lose someone he cared about.
