Chapter 1: Radio Station With Mel

"That was Surface Of The Sun by Yellow Card! Now, me personally, I don't like Justin Bieber. But I do like his new song with Nicki Minaj, Beauty and the Beat. Now that is a good song. So here is Beauty And the Beat by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj!" I said in to the microphone before the song started to play.

"I think we should do callers next, Dawn. There's so many!" Mel said, from the other side of the table. "How many!?!?" I asked, putting my feet on the white table. We a lot have guest's, but on some days we don't. So it's just me and Mel.

"More then we ever had!" Mel said with a huge grin on her face. Mel helps me with the radio show, like dealing with the volume, how many callers, made our app, our website, deals with which song the person wants us to play, tells me which song is next on our play list, and all the other little details that make the radio show what it is.

"Hey girls!" Dad said coming into our studio with a clip-board. "Hey dad, whats up?" I asked, smiling at my dad with his clip-board. It makes him feel smart. "Hey Max." Mel said looking up from the Windows 8 -computer- in front of her. My dad likes to be called by his first name, Max, instead of Mr. Dream.

"We have a new contest for your viewers! A new 3DS XL! We only have two of them!" Dad said, placing two boxes on the green table. "Awesome! The song is just ending, so we'll do the contest now!" I said as Beauty and The Beat ended. "Great! See you girls later!" Dad said, leaving our studio.

Me and Mel do our radio show together, but Mel only does contest's with me. She always get's the song's and the artist's mixed up. Like it would be 'One Thing by Ow City'. Instead of One Thing By One Direction.

"Guess what? It's Dreamer's Contest time! We got two 3DS XL's here, waiting to be yours! One is purple, and one is blue. You can have it signed by both me and Dawn, or have it signed by our guest's tomorrow! And you can also pick out a song!" Mel said into the microphone by her computer.

"So call in right now to grab your DS!" I said, walking over to Mel and sitting next to her so I can see all of our callers. My dad set up our computer to have a touch screen, so we can just touch a number (1-50) and the call is on with us.

Me and Mel each picked a number, and Mel got to chose first. Mel's finger touched caller 26, and the girl was on with us.

"Ello lucky caller! You've won one of the 3DS XL's! What's you name?" Mel said, before the girl on the phone started to scream. Like always, they scream when their talking to us, or if they won. "I'M SHAY!! OH MY GOSH!!!!" The caller said in the middle of her screams. "Well, Shay, Do you want the purple or the blue?" I asked, then Shay screamed "PURPLE!!!! CAN YOU GUYS -oh my gosh! I'm really talking to them!- SIGN IT FOR ME!??!"

"Of course!" Mel said, then we took her of the radio to get her address. I took out the purple 3DS, and my black Sharpie. I started to write my name, Dawn Dream from Dreamer's Radio :).

Me and Mel's radio's show is our life. We don't go to school, because were here from 11am to 5pm. My dad is the owner of  Dream Big Radio since I was 13. So, I got my own radio show, and i pick my best friend Melody to help me with it. We have been here for six years now. That's right, I'm nineteen and so is Mel. Dreamer's Radio is one of the most famous radio show's in the U.S.

Me and Mel's show is Dreamer's Radio. Dad told out to name our show, so we named it that. Mel always wanted to help out with tech stuff, so the job fit her. So, i got the job as the host. But of course, Mel is one of the hosts to.

 I'm British, and I moved here when I was seven with my family. I have one sister, Grace -or Gray- who is 21 and has twins- Claire and Jason. Their both three, and I love them to death. But Gray is not married and her boyfriend left her. Then my mum and dad. My mum has bone cancer, and she's not doing any better.

Half of my paychecks go to her chemo and any other treatments. Then the other half is for flat rent. My room mate is Mel, so we both pay for everything we need. I couldn't pay for my flat, and Mel couldn't pay for her's, so now we share one. Were more like sisters then best friends.

"Hello lucky caller! You have just one our last blue 3DS! What's your name, caller?" I said in to the microphone. This one's a screamer to. Let's face it; their all screamers. "Jacob!!!!!!" The guy said through the phone. A boy caller!! "Your very lucky, Jacob! Do you want us to sign it?" Mel said, then Jacob yelled yes. We took Jacob off the radio to get his address like Shay.

Mel handed me the blue DS with her sharpie, then I signed my name. Then I just drew hearts everywhere. I don't know why, but, I did.

"That is the end of today's Dreamer Contest, thank you for calling in! Our last song of the day is Owl City's When Can I See You Again! We are Dawn and Mel, hope you come back tomorrow at 11!" I said, before the song started to play. Sun's radio show is up next, so this will be our last song of the day.

"Auntie Dawn! Auntie Dawn! Ms. Mel! Ms. Mel!!" My little niece, Claire said, running in. Claire is only three, and the cutest little toddler in the world! "Claire!'' Me and Mel said, as Claire ran up to me. "Did you run away from your mum again, Claire?" I asked the three year old. Claire nodded her head, then I picked her up.

"Do you want to go see grandpa?" I asked, before Claire jumped out of my arms and ran out of the studio. Claire always comes down to Dream Big Radio, because her mum works here! Sun is the next show after us. So in Gray's studio -the one next to ours-

"Hey want to go grab some StarBucks?" Mel said, shutting down the computer. "Sure! Who's our guest for tomorrow? I heard that their like stay here for a month, so they could come back!" I said, smiling at Mel. "You won't believe it...One Direction!" Mel said before we both started to jump around the room. We act like 15 year old's but were nineteen.

"OH MY GOSH!!!!!" I yelled, jumping around. Then Jason ran in. "What are you guys yelling about?" Jason said, looking up at me with his big brown eyes, just like dad's.

"ONE DIRECTION, JAS!" I yelled, before he yelled; "EWW!!" and ran out of the room. I laughed at him, then me and Mel went to StarBucks.
