Chapter 2 - "The Hidden Boet Tree."

After five hours of wandering the town Blaze wondered if there was anyone else he knew here in this strange land. Though he still didn't quite understand it all. He wandered for a bit until he noticed it was starting to get dark outside. Not wanting to be trapped in the dark he anxiously grabbed a nearby lantern from one of the town's doorsteps. Of course he'd feel bad that he practically stole someone's lantern off their doorstep, he thought that he could use it.

Blaze walked through the dark yet dimly lit town, he didn't like how quiet it was. Everyone was in their houses asleep, the shops had closed for the night. It was just him.

Blaze without realizing managed to find the end of the town. He must have been walking for a long time. Even in the dark, and his only sources of light being the moon and his lantern, he thought he should go behind the ending point of the little village and into whatever came after.

Blaze walked forward in what happened to be grass, it didn't take him long until he had been stepping in flowers. Another meadow field, he thought to himself. Fireflies flickering happily in the nightly glow. He had to admit, it was a very breathtaking sight.

Suddenly, he saw something scurry from one side of the meadow to the other, very quickly. Almost like if he blinked he wouldn't have noticed at all. He was startled. It could just be some wild animal, maybe even a vicious one. He didn't know the kind of animals they had here, and during the night he didn't want to find out. Though, it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

The animal stayed put for a while. Blaze stepped closer slowly as to not alarm it. Unfortunately though, in the process of moving closer blaze ironically stepped on a twig. The animal's head whipped around. Its green eyes glowed in the night. Blaze could barely make out the animal's features. They had goat-like necessities but what caught Blaze's attention was that they had a human face, and body.

Blaze stood there for a while, not as shocked as he was confused. The goat awkwardly got up and ran away out of fear. Blaze managed to see that the human-like figure was wearing a brown cloak. He watched as the person ran away until he decided to step forward. He held his lantern out in front of him now until he stepped on something hard.

He held the lantern down towards his boots. The hard surface he stepped on was a hard covered leathered book. He picked up the book. He debated on whether or not he should look through it, almost deciding against it. He skimmed through the book. Almost every page was full of writing and pictures. It was fascinating how the handwriting looked like something he'd find in a spell book in those fantasy movies he watched back home. He writing was almost hard to read, but it gave off this feeling as if it were important in some way.

He realized this book must have belonged to the person he came across in the field. Not waiting a second more he sprinted off in the direction where the person had ran off too, eager to return the book.

30 minutes of running later,

Blaze was about to give up on returning the book as he had been sprinting for 20 minutes. His legs were crying for rest. Just as he was about to call it quits, he ran into veins hanging from tree tranches. The woods. He pushed past the veins and saw a magnificent sight.

There in the center of the circle of trees was one very big tree. The Tree had what Blaze would call L.E.D lights draped on the old branches, it lit up the circle perfectly. The tree wasn't just a tree with lights. But a treehouse. A very big one at that. Blaze walked closer to the treehouse, wondering how to get inside. He assumed this was the house that the person had gone too. As he got closer he could hear chattering from the inside, it was too muffled for him to make out.
