Vicki's Pov
-
"Be polite," my mother repeats.
"Yes, okay!" I huff, obviously frustrated.
"Alex was complaining about your attitude last time," she tsks.
"Oh please, I didn't even talk to him."
"You have to learn to like him because we will be seeing him every day."
Every day!
I groan out loud but in the inside everyone is have a party.
"Come on out, Vicki," my mother ushers, "we are here."******************
******************"So..." Alex says, green eyes staring at me, intensely.
"So what?" I snap.
"Hey, attitude!" he raises his hands up in surrender.
Annoyed at my mother for leaving me with Alex, ALL ALONE, upstairs, I stomp off into the room I'll be staying in.
"You were like best friends when we were little, why not now?" he asks, following me.
I shrug, "I could've out grew you, maybe your too annoying or childish, could be anything."
He runs a hand through his brown hair, frustrated, messing it up a little making him look really cute.
I look away and blush.
"Can we have a shot of being friends?" he asks, hopefully, "We know each other like best friends, we know how to read each other and we know the pain we have been put through."
I know he meant about the loss of our fathers.
"Fine," I snap, "but do one thing I don't like, contracts over."
"Contract? You want a contract?"
"No, you idiot," I roll my eyes and ran downstairs.******************
******************It is about 3pm, when we finish exploring every inch of Alex's house, well mansion.
Spoilt, rich, gentlemen so polite comes with the package, neat and annoying!
Yet so.... Hot.
I had a crush on him for ages and never admitted it to myself...
"Lets go out for an ice cream!" Alex grins, his British accent ringing in the room.
"Don't tell me we have to walk 3k's now!" I huff, impatiently.
"No, only 3 houses away," Alex says, being his innocent self and holds my hand.
A tingly sensation shot up all over my arm.
Before I had time to be my snappy self, he holds my hand tighter and leads me to the ice cream parlour.***************
***************I order a strawberry ice cream with a flake as Alex orders chocolate with a flake.
I expected him to get something fancy but he went for the plain, like me.
"So do you?" Alex asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Do I what?"
"Have a crush on anyone in your old school?"
No always you, idiot, I say in my head.
"Not that I remember," I lie, "you?"
"Yeah." he admits, truthfully.
My heart sank.
"Who?" I whisper, but the clear my throat, "who?"
"This girl name Lacey," Alex answers, showing a little red on his cheek.
I quickly look away before he notices how sad I am.
I have been a bit rude to him in the past years and never showed that I liked him.
We wander about for a bit.
"So do you like the city?" Alex asks.
"I don't know, but I'll have to get used to it," I sigh, before asking, "will we be going to the same school?"
"What school are you going to?" he asks, looking curious by my question.
"Sunset High."
"Fortunately, no, I go to Remandor High."
I smile, sadly, "we can see eachother after school?"
"Brilliant!"
I smile at Alex's cuteness.
We walk in silence for a bit.
"Wait," Alex stops, "you have abit of ice cream there..." He points near my lip.
I blush, "I-I-"
He brings his handkerchief out and dabs it gently on the spot near my lips.
I blush.
"Thanks," I whisper.
"Anytime," he smiles.
Kiss me already! I want to shout.
He stares at me lustful, but he pulls back.
"Lets go home," he says, breaking the awkward silence.
