April Fools is here, but this ain't no joke.

April Fools is always a weird day for me. The comedian in me wants to try to pull off the biggest prank ever, but then the other side of me wants to sit back and watch it all happen. I have a set of twin friends that were born on April Fools and the stories they have told me over the years about how their birthday is hard because someone always turns it into a joke makes me not want to get in on the fun.

So instead of rambling on about April Fools, I'm going to talk about something else to try and lighten the mood. Bucket Lists. This is something that I was asked about recently. What was on my bucket list? It's something that I've worked on for a while. I've checked off a few, but not all.

Here is my bucket list!

20. Bungee jump. Check!

19. Visit all the states! I'm working on it!

18. Go to Ireland. It's where my family is from and I would love to learn more about them!

17. Publish a book. Check x 2!

16. Be a contestant on the Wheel of Fortune. I just recently put in my application to play!

15. Eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's. I know it's a weird one. But I was in high school when I made this bucket list. B&J was expensive and my mom would never buy it. But when I got my first job, it's what I bought with my first paycheck. Honestly, don't know what the hype was all about.

14. Meet a celebrity! Check x I don't know how many. I've met so many celebrities over the past ten years. I'm still waiting to meet Jeffrey Dean Morgan though!

13. Ride in an airplane. I'm terrified of heights, which is funny because I bungee jumped and obviously flying is way different. But I haven't had the opportunity to fly anywhere yet. I normally just drive cross country when I go on vacation. Someone said once you fly you'll never drive again. I guess we'll see.

12. Go to the Smithsonian! This should really be up further on the list because it's one of the top things I want to do. Top 5 most definitely!

11. Be an extra in a T.V. show or movie! This may sound really dumb but it's really something I would love to do! I don't care if I have a line or just walk across the screen. I want to do it! Though I do know someone who was a background extra. She gets paid $8 every time the episode she was in comes on lol!

10. Retire to the beach or the mountains! I was in high school when I made this. I didn't even have my first job until I was out of high school but here I was already talking about retiring. This is still true to a degree. But as I'm getting older I'm starting to realize that I love the quiet, peacefulness of the mountains more.

9. Own a llama! Yes, I said it. It's a crazy thing, I know. It will probably never happen. But a girl can dream, right?!

8. Become a lawyer. Yes, this is a huge one. But it's something I've always dreamed about. I've always been told I'd make a good lawyer because I like to argue and never be wrong. That is probably not a good trait in my every day life but in the court room I'd hopefully be the bomb!

7. Learn to ride a unicycle. I grew up in a carnival. Fun fact if you didn't know that about me. I always wanted to learn how to ride a unicycle. Not because someone around me did, but because it just seemed fun to learn.

6. Travel to the West Coast, California to be specific. I don't know what it is about California, but something about it has always stood out to me. I had a friend that moved out there a couple years ago on a whim, he didn't know if he could afford, but he's still there, killing it! I've always wanted to visit, I'm hoping too soon!

5. Own my own home! Check and mate! I got to officially do that two years ago. I mean unfortunately it still belongs to the bank but hey I'm working on it!

4. Start my own business! I did this too! It may not be as successful as I would like it to be right now, but for now it will work. It definitely does help some!

3. Skydive! It's another one of those conquering my fears thing! Right now it's not in the works! I have to lose weight first! But I'm also using it as my excuse as to why I can't actually do it! Lol!

2. Fall in love. How cheesy, I know. But I'm a girl. What can I say? Like I said I was in high school when I wrote this. My mom didn't allow me to date when I was in school. She wanted me to focus on my grades, maybe that's why it ended up on my bucket list. I feel like I'm checking that off of my bucket list as I write this.

1. Be the change in someone's life. I don't feel like I have quite done this yet. Maybe I have, I don't know. If I have, someone let me know!

———————————————————————————

And that is my bucket list! Like I said I have checked off a few but not all. And who knows it will probably grow more over the years. In this blog, I will let you all know if I happen to check off anything on my list!

But since it is April Fools, what fun would this post be if I didn't have a little trickery involved! I have a secret...shhhhhh, I'm gonna give you a clue and let's see if you can figure it out!

There is a reason I counted backwards on my bucket list! Something is happening and I get to mark off three things on my bucket list here soon! Can you figure it out?!
