Ghost

They say ghosts were fake. Made up by society to put fear into kids that craved danger. The paranormal was a hoax—an unorthodox method of dealing with over excited children.

Then why was he here? Like this? It didn't make any sense. Well, to other people at least. You get used to it when you've been living with it your whole life (was it a life if you were never really born?).

Midoriya Izuku never understood how he came to be. If he had lived and died or if he was even born. He didn't think he was created out of thin air or was part of a quirk either. So how did he end up as an astral anomaly?

He wasn't the typical ghost. He could talk to a few people and a few could even see him. He wasn't transparent (well there were times he was but he didn't care to think about that at the moment) and he didn't just float above the ground. He did, however, have the ability to phase through things. He thinks it would be great for pranking a friend. Well, if he had any.

"What are you thinking about Midoriya?"

If Izuku had a normal body he might've hit his head on the ceiling. However, his head passed through the ceiling and into the roof. He sighed, floating to the ground next to his "roommate". If you could call him that anyway. Izuku didn't really know what to call the person who trespassed through his home on a whim.

"Damn it, Todoroki!" Izuku grumbled, crossing his arms. "I may be a ghost but I'm not omnipotent."

Todoroki shrugged, "Not yet anyway."

With a pout on his face, Izuku hung upside down in the air. He didn't float on the ground but that didn't mean he was bound to Earth's gravitational laws either. He could float into space if he wanted to. But that was it. He could float, not fly. He didn't go supersonic speeds through the air like a knock-off Superman.

"Your cute face will be permanently disfigured if you do that, Midoriya."

Another quirky but kind of creepy thing Todoroki did was compliment him like that. Calling him "cute" and "lovable". He also constantly worried about things that literally couldn't effect him even if he wanted them to. He was a ghost for goodness sake!

"Todoroki, I'm a ghost," Izuku deadpanned. "I don't get hurt."

Todoroki seemed to ponder something before opening his mouth, "Do you still age?"

Izuku went to reply before hesitating. He turned himself so he wasn't upside down and sat on the ground. "I . . . actually don't know."

Todoroki nodded and pulled out a notepad and pen from his pocket, "Growing old together—still an option."

He looked at Izuku's hands, "Can you wear accessories? Like a ring?"

Izuku rolled his eyes, "Don't you have school or something?"

Todoroki clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth, putting away his notebook and pen. He started sulking, looking like a scolded dog. "I can skip."

"No, you can't," Izuku rebutted the dual quirked teen. "If you really want, I'll join you."

Todoroki immediately perked up. His eyes gleamed and he shot forward towards Izuku. His handsome face was nearly an inch away from Izuku's. Izuku scrunched up his nose and pulled away.

"You will?"

Izuku got to his feet, looking down at the heterochromatic male. He sighed and jerked his head towards the door. "Yes. Now hurry up before you're late again."

Todoroki grumbled, a faint scowl on his features, "I don't care if I'm late."

"Well I do," Izuku retorted. He poured some of his concentrated energy into his hand and flicked Todoroki's forehead. The male rubbed the light injury to soothe the sting inflicted by ice cold fingers. "If you don't hurry up, I won't come."
