It was lunch time. I sat with Cho (my best friend) as usual.
Just as we were going through our regular routine round of gossip, someone approached us and sat in front of us.
For one beautiful moment I thought it was Yoongi, who was now free from his practices for the day.
To my disappointment, it was Jimin. His handsome face did make it better, but I really missed Yoongi.
Cho almost chocked on her food as her eyes fell on the newcomer.
"I- I think you've come to the wrong table," she told him, her eyes not ready to leave his.
"Oh no no, I've come here because y/n was here," he said, "And y/n weren't you supposed to be 'stuck with me' even during lunch time?" he asked playfully.
Cho, with now her jaw now hanging down looked at me and then at Jimin.
I shut her jaw by tapping her chin and said, "Jimin is the new student here. I'm supposed to show him around for a week."
"Ohhhhh so that is why...ok ok I get it," Cho replied, "Jimin, cute name. You're always welcome at this table."
Cho began to flirt with Jimin completely ignoring my presence.
I might've not mentioned, but Cho is Seokjin's girlfriend. They are not that close, but Seokjin being the star of the school, she doesn't really complain.
I coughed loudly, "Cho, I think Jin was looking for you, why don't you go see him."
She shot a smug look at me and left the table, stomping away.
We watched her until she was out of sight. "You don't like your friends flirting with me?" He asked with a naughty smile.
"Oh, it's just that Cho is taken. I don't want her flirting with anyone. She should stay loyal," I said proudly.
"Those are some morals," Jimin said raising his eyebrows, "By the way, I was thinking of joining the dance club here. I've heard some, Hoseok guy runs it."
I nodded, "You and Hoseok are gonna get along really well. He is a really good-natured guy."
Jimin joining the dance club meant that I had to show him where it was so I said, "After lunch I'll let Hoseok meet you, and show you the dance room."
*.*.*.*
Jimin and I were walking side by side as we headed towards the dance room.
Hoseok was just coming out of it. He first looked at me, "Hey, hi y/n" he said with his sunshine smile.
Then his eyes feel on Jimin, "Woah ho" he said looking somewhat surprised, "Who is this new guy I've never seen before?"
I could bet that even Hoseok was shocked with Jimin's, uh I don't know, handsomeness?
I did the introductions and aquianted them.
They entered the dance room and then their regular warm up began.
I just stood in a corner and observed them. I think they danced for an hour or so.
I actually enjoyed watching them. Both of them were just amazing performers.
Once they were done Jimin gathered his stuff and I followed him outside. "Wanna have some fun?" He asked me softly.
"What do you mean?"
"Didn't you say you wanted to hear me sing?"
I nodded. He entered an empty classroom and I followed him in. "We can have a karaoke right here."
"You're kidding. And aren't you tired with all the dancing?" I asked him.
He shook his head, "I have great stamina, you'll be surprised," he said looking right at me with a unreadable expression.
It didn't really take us long to start singing crazily in that room.
We started off with one of the most sensational songs 'Dynamite by BTS'.
I have to agree, Jimin had a beautiful voice, and compared to him, I felt like I had the voice of a dying goat.
We initially kept singing light-hearted, fun songs but our playlist soon began to get R- rated.
Jimin started it. He sang the first verse of 'Expensive Girl' and I couldn't help but fall on the floor laughing.
He kept singing and I joined in from time to time.
Going a step further, Jimin picked up a chalk and started decorating the board with the lyrics of 'Expensive Girl'. And don't ask me what he wrote.
I think I was tearing up due to all the laughing. It didn't take long for the board to get adorned with the lyrics of 'Converse High'.
He also added a little something there about tongue technology.
"Damn Jimin, I didn't know you were so dirty minded," I said, still trying to control my overwhelming feeling to laugh.
"I promised you fun. Here you have it." He said.
"I think we should leave now, shouldn't get caught." I said, eyeing the closed door.
"One last thing left."
I didn't know what he was up to, but I sat on a bench and looked at him expectantly.
He pulled his bottle out of his bag, and holding it as a mic, he started to sing.
This song wasn't like the others, it was sad and deep. And oh! his voice, so beautiful. It suited the song too well.
I quickly recognized the song he was singing. It was 'Serendipity'. I loved that song, and with Jimin's voice in it, the room now had an angelic vibe.
I think I got too engrossed in Jimin's song. When he was done, I pulled out me phone from my bag to look for any updates.
On my phone screen it flashed, 5 miscalls from Yoongi.
