~third person~

Edgar was sitting in the waiting room for his upcoming match. The only people there with him so far were Aesop Carl and Eli Clark. Sitting there with his head down he wondered who the last survivor to join them would be.

~Edgars POV~

"God please don't be Luca, please don't be Luca, please don't be Luca!" I thought to myself.
Ever since the last match I had with him, my mind hasn't been thinking straight (literally). All I can think about is that stupid grin he always has on, and his messy yet seemingly soft hair... It's gotten so bad that I forget how to think of anything else but him! And to be completely honest, I think of way... way more than just what I can see from afar... But I have to push these thoughts aside!
"Honestly, these such feelings are disgusting..."
Ive decided that I would stay as far away from the peasant as possible, hoping that will solve this... mess he's created.
"Hey, Edgar are you alright..?" I heard a voice call to me. I look up to see Aesop starring back at me. I quickly clear my throat. "Yes of course, why wouldn't I be." I say in an annoyed tone.
"Oh s-sorry you were just looking kinda-" Aesop was saying before he was rudely interrupted by the doors of the waiting room slamming open. Revealing an out of breath yet extremely excited, Luca Balsa.
"Fuck."

~3rd person~

"H-hey guys... sorry I'm a bit late, I got distracted while working on a new invention!" Luca said trying to catch his breath. "No worries Luca, go ahead and sit, we're ready to begin." Eli gave him a welcoming smile as he motioned towards a seat.

~Edgars POV~

I quickly put my head back down and kept my eyes glued to my lap, being careful not to accidentally look up at the mesmerizing boy beside me- WAIT BESIDE ME?! "Great I already broke my own rules of staying away from him..." I then realize I had been been starring at him this whole time! And it seems he noticed cause he's starring RIGHT BACK AT ME!!!
"You okay Eddie?" He asked with a caring tone in his voice as he gave me that signature smirk. "I.. Y-Yes I'm fine." I swiftly avert my eyes from his gaze and back at my lap. "Ughhh this match is going to be a nightmare."
"Erm, Goodluck everyone." Aesop said. Then everything went black.
