"I guess this iron stuff is first. I don't even know what that is! There's so much for me to learn." Chrome reads the steps, "It's not particularly easy to get." Senku says, "Senku's science class or is it really sorcery? Ugh I feel like I'm already behind." Kohaku stares at them blankly.
"Look at this Senku, when you dangle this rock over some water, it always points true north!" Chrome shows, "No way, you've got magnets!" I lean over, "Man! That's not fair that you know!" He falls back, Senku's eyes widen, "You've done an excellent work Chrome, now we've got magnets." Senku grins. The next day we stripped down and got to work, Kohaku had a band of fabric around her chest and waist, I stared down underneath my clothes and Sho did the same, they had primitive versions of panties and bras, "I've got my panties and bra on... they'd realise..." I whisper to Sho, "And I've got the boxers you made for me on as well." He sweats, "Hey you two! Come down and help!" Chrome wags two magnetic rocks for us to start working, "I'm going to hate this, you're going to have to use your left side to help dry my clothes off." I hop down and shiver at the cold water, "Check mine out! It picked up a bunch of that stuff! Look at this crazy black sand!" Kohaku shows us her rock, "Baby steps but we're making our way towards the kingdom of science." Senku grins.
"This is going to take all day with the five of us." Sho looks at the iron sand he collected on this rock, "It'd only take seconds if I could just create it." I mumble and angrily throw the rock into the water before picking it back up and collecting more iron sand, "Should I get someone from the village to help out?" Chrome asks, "As far as those people are concerned you guys are just a couple of suspicious sorcerers so I don't think anyone is dying to lend us a hand." Kohaku looks at us, "Uhhh... is that a watermelon?" Senku squints his eyes, "ARGH!" I screamed and instinctively latched onto Sho as the watermelon stood up, "Oh it's Suica. What are you doing in the water?" Kohaku asks, Suica lifts her rock up and shows the iron sand on it, "Did you just follow us down here?" Kohaku pets her head, "Doesn't her name mean watermelon?" Sho asks, "I'm pretty sure it's just a nickname. Probably cause she's always wearing that watermelon rind. HAAAA! I can't believe you would just steal my magnet like that!" Chrome snatches the rock back, Sho looks at his hand, "Just like my nickname. The handcrusher." His mood seemed to physically droop, "Sho, we're not doing this again. You're not the handcrusher, Iida just was unlucky was all." I slap his head, "The... hand... crusher...?" Senku looks at him with a questioning look, "I'm sorry. I just wanna help you guys, it's kinda hard to be helpful to anyone because I've got this thing on my head. Too bad, I'll wear it my whole life." Suica wags her hands under the water, Chrome's eyes soften, "But if you need some help I'll do whatever I can!" She says, "Yeah, yeah. I get is Suica. I appreciate the assistance, the kingdom of science needs to get all the help it can get. We won't turn anyone away." He smiles, "Besides, a shrimpy thing like you'd be great at collecting this iron sand. We're counting on you." Senku hands her his magnet, she blushes and immediately gets to work, "Blub blub! I'll collect all the black sand there is!" She floats down the river, "You're not Momotaro! Just try not to drown." Chrome shouts, Senku stops, "Never heard of Dragon Quest or Monster Hunter but you know who Momotaro? Who taught you that?" Senku looks up, "Woah. You know Momotaro? That's weird." Chrome says, "Ruri told us a bunch of stories like that." Suica looks up, "Come to think of it, how come you guys know of gorillas. They're not native to Japan." Senku turns around, "I've never actually seen one in real life." Kohaku blinks, "Yeah but I think there's a gorilla in Momotaro, that right?" Chrome points, "No! That isn't!" I furrow my brows, "He used those millet dumplings to make new friends. A bear, a lion, a gorilla and an alligator." Chrome lists, "Momotaro isn't some wild ass savage! Maybe she told you that story to tell you about dangerous animals." I tap my lip, "My sister told me a bunch of stories when we were growing up and she loves big words, I suppose I got all my bigger words from Ruri." Kohaku taps her forehead, "Gotta admit, getting lowkey interested in this Ruri chick now I'm that much more determined to make that drug to cure her." Senku grins, "What the heck do you mean by that! Interested?! Like how?" Chrome runs over, "Heh?" Senku looks at him, "Dude. He's got a fat crush on her. Just look at him, I mean I've got someone who's got the personality of a wet sock to date me." I poke Sho's cheek, "Huh? What do you mean by that?" He holds my wrist and looks at me, "See. Exhibit A." I snickered, "Ohhh~ so that's what it's all about." Senku raises his eyebrows, the two of us chuckled.
