Abby's POV

Its been a few weeks since the Malcom thing at that park. Now I was sitting in a hospital room with my comatose mother.

        A doctor walked in.

"Hi sweetie, I'm going to put this in medical terms so you don't understand. Your mother is terminal, she will leave us soon and then you will not have relatives to take you in so we are sending you to the orphanage." he said thinking he was using such large words.

"Doctor the only problem with the way you just said that to me was that I am 13 years old and I have a larger IQ than you do so I know you just told me that very soon I will be an orphan and there is nothing I can do about that but I am going to get emancipated! That way I can't just be adopted and no one wants a teecager anyway!" I yell.

"Honey I think you're going a bit crazy my IQ is 124 I don't think yours is even half that and you just heard those fancy words on television." he said in a voice you would use to talk to a baby.

"Sir I have an IQ of 230 and I know that emancipation means that I will be a legal adult meaning that I cannot be sent to an orphanage against my will." I said and again he just smiled like I was 5.

"Listed here bud. I have a degree in marine biology I can leagally be a lawyer, I didn't take the course I just walked in and knew all the answers! Some 30 year olds failed that test." I said and then he smiled like an evil cockroach.

"I could show you I carry around my diploma and certificate becasue of people like you." I said pulling out two laminated copies of my diploma and certificate. I laminate everything even if it is just the copy.

"Fine I was wrong I am still a better doctor than a little brat." he said

"I bet you are, but if I was given the information you wouldn't be. Let me guess you were thrown out of your parents house at lets say 23 and then you went out to get your medical degree, masters right? but then you couldn't have your own office and now you work in a hospital talking to teenagers smarter than you will ever be." I said and he left just like that, I would like to say I got pretty close to what was the truth.

About an hour later actaully it was exactly an hour a nurse coes up to me.

        "HI there." she said.

"Hello, so did you figure out if you are legally allowed to call me off school." I said getting straight to the point.

"No so you have to go to school, you better start walking." she said.

"You can't get me a cab or something?" I asked and she shook her head, I was wearing pj's and my school was 20 miles away and then if I wanted to change i would have to walk another 5 miles home and then to school.

I did start walking those people are lucky I memerized the turns to get here.

I got to school finally and walked in and immidiatly apologised for being late.

Malcom's POV

It was strange, Abby was always here on time. Just as I thought that she walked in but instead of the dressier clothes she usually has on she was wearing pajama pants and a long sleeved fishnet shirt over a camisole.

"Sorry I'm late and plese excuse my attire." she said.

Her hair was the way it always is after she figures out something that she didn't know before. She always plys with it when she is nervous, putting it up in a ponytail and down, up and down and then she will put it in a bun then take it down and try to smooth it out but hten its all knotted and she sits there not even realizing that she is brushing her finges through he rshiny hair. Her beautiful shiny hair.
