Bakugo's POV:
I didn't understand. What was he apologizing for? This doesn't make any sense. Did he do something bad? I racked my brain for a reason but nothing turned up.
I sighed and went down to the cafeteria.
I didn't see him down there either.
This is so confusing.
When class started again. He wasn't there. I asked Aizawa where his dorm was so I could drop off his homework.
Now I'm in front of his door, have been for like 3 minutes. I want to knock but I'm also scared. I don't want him to run off again.
Finally I muster the courage to knock.
"Who is it?" God I missed his voice.
"...It's Kat..." I say.
The door opens a little bit.
"What do you want?"
"Teach wanted me to give you the homework. It's due next week."
"Thank you." He goes to close the door but I force it open.
"We need to talk."
He doesn't protest. He knew it too.
"About?"
"Let's start with something simple. Why did you ghost me?"
He doesn't answer. Just stares wide-eyed at his blanket.
"Shoto."
"I was scared, ok?" He snaps.
"Scared? Of me?" I asked, worried.
"No! No of course not..." He trails off.
"Scared of a long distance relationship?" I ask.
He nods. Hugging himself.
"I didn't want to continue what we had, knowing there was a chance you could break my heart and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it." He confessed, seeming ashamed.
"I get it. That thought crossed my mind as well but I trusted you enough to believe that you wouldn't do that to me." I say.
"Ah." His voice cracks.
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"Not trusting you enough."
