I was in a cage and my hands were tied behind my back. The floor was freezing and the room was dark with no windows in sight. Whoever had snuck up on me had searched me before throwing me in here, as my knives were no longer with me. The concealment of my knives had improved so the fact that they searched me meant they knew that I carry them with me.

I closed my eyes and tried to recall what I saw at the game before I was knocked out by chloroform. Stiles had just taken the winning shot, and I was cheering by the stands, but still keeping an eye on Gerard. His being there meant he was up to something and I was determined to figure out what. My memory went hazy after that. Whoever did this was light on their feet, as if knowing exactly what they were up against.

"Great. Just my luck that the one thing I was trying to avoid ended up happening anyway. Hello?! Anyone want to make a grand entrance because now is the best time."

No one said anything or made a sound. But I knew I wasn't alone. I could sense two werewolves were in the same building. None of them were an alpha and it most definitely wasn't Scott. That meant it was Derek's betas. How did they get caught so easily? I tried to twist my wrist to loosen the knot but it was no use. I was just causing friction on my wrist and hurting myself in the process.

'Every action has a reaction.' I recalled Deaton saying this to me months ago. The naive part of me wanted to believe he was only talking about Kate and Peter. If only I could go back in time and stop Peter from killing Kate.

'That was never the issue in the first place Rose.' I thought to myself just as the door opened and there in front of me, was Allison.
