The Kingdom of Earth is widely known for being the reason that all the kingdoms are divided and to no surprise, every other heir to the throne was raised to have the same mindset as the old king. This style of parenting continued to this current era, where the new heir maybe able to change everything that's against his father and ancestor's wishes. This prince may have been first raised with the idea of the other kingdoms hating and envying his soon to be empire, but the one fatal mistake of the current king was neglecting his child after his wife passed. When the late queen had passed the king disregarded all of his fatherly duties and buried himself in his work. The young prince was only five when his lovely mother passed, but he'll always remember his mom's dying wish to him. "Cole, I want you to promise me that you'll be kind, compassionate, fair and a great king to our people. Don't follow in your father and ancestor's footsteps. That'll only lead this kingdom into misery and suffering." Lilly says while weakly looking up at her crying son from her death bed. "I promise mom, but why?" young Cole says in between his sniffs and tears as he watches his mother grow weaker and weaker as the minutes pass on. Cole could barely recognize his mom from how sick she looks. The beautiful olive skin she was known for is now pale, her lovely forest green eyes are dull with the light slowly fading from it and her once long healthy black is now ruined mess. "In the future you'll understand why I asked this of you." she answers as her hand slowly raises up to wave someone over to them. A teenager walks up to the sickly queen's side. He gets on one knee before her as she starts to speak again. "Cole this is Ronin your new body guard and he'll help you with what you've promised to me. No matter what happens he'll always listen to you and show you those who I've entrusted to help you become the prince you need to be. Only listen to them and be very weary of your father's actions. I want to remember that I'll always love you Cole." was last thing his mother said to him.

COLE

I open my eyes to the sound of my father voice as he argues with his court. I always remember that day whenever my father makes me sit in his meetings. After my mother died everything went down hill with my father and I's relationship. When my father started to neglect me the maids, butlers and Ronin took over parenting me and I realized that what my father told me was a huge lie. I learned the real reason why the kingdoms were divided. It was horrible finding out that my ancestor caused this huge rift in the kingdoms and my bloodline continued doing this as the years went on. I'm so thankful for Ronin always being by my side. My father now has started to come back and 'raise' me. He must have realized that he left me at the hands of the castle staff for 12 years and he hasn't drilled the family 'knowledge' into my head. For the past few months after my 17th birthday, Father has been very invested in my life as I'm gonna take the throne soon. He started with the lies he told me when I was younger and it took all my energy to restrain myself from his utter bullshit. I was dragged around the entire kingdom to meet the Lords, Mistresses and heirs to different estates. I was told that they'll be the people within my court when its my time to rule and by the looks of them, they're just selfish power hunger, high class morons. These pass few months with my father have been literal hell for me and its just getting worse. Right now my father and his court are arguing about some letter that was sent to us. "Cole what do you think of the letter from the Fire kingdom?" Father asked me when he was at his wits ends with his court. 'The Fire kingdom? Maybe I can use this to my advance.' I sit up straight as look around the room and see every on is waiting for my answer. "First, since I couldn't keep up with the yelling. Has anyone opened it or read the contents of the letter?" I start of with to see what the letter is about. They all look at each other then look back at me with a sheepish look and I just shake my head. "If you didn't even read it, why are you guys arguing about it? Ronin would you please hand me the letter." As Ronin hands me the letter I get really nervous. This the first time of me being about to put a plan of mines in motion and it working out so well. Now the contents of the letter surprises me. Why would the young king of Fire be holding a meeting with all the heirs? Wait, I can use this. "Okay, hear me out before you start yelling again. The king wants to meet all the heirs and I can trick him into believing I want to change the way we run the Earth kingdom. As I slowly gain their trust, I can learn their secrets and weaknesses. I can maybe even get one or more of the heirs to fall for me." I toss out the 'idea' hoping they'll believe my lie. My father gained a proud look on his face as he smiles and begins to brag. "That's why you're my heir Cole. Do see how well I've raised my son." Out of the corner of my eye, I see several maids and butlers along with Ronin snap their necks to watch the king with a 'The fuck did you say!?' I listen to everyone agree with my 'idea' and feel a huge wave of happiness wash over me. I excuse myself from the meeting and head to the training room. "You know your highness, that was very convincing lie you came up with. I would've have believed you if I didn't actually know you." Ronin states as he walks behind me.
