Aasha, that was the name my parents had given me when I was born. Aasha; meaning hope in Hindi.
But i was pretty sure i was letting down all their hopes and expectations with what i was about to do.
I stared at the suitcase lying open on my bed. It was large enough to hold all my clothes and accessories, folded and packed in neat stacks. The backpack next to it had food, water, first aid kit, pepper spray and other emergency supplies just in case. I also had another smaller bag, filled with books and other entertainment.
I looked over to the corner of my room at what was supposed to be my wedding dress. It was hanging by a mannequin, a dazzling red color with intricate gold embroidery all over it. It was beautiful.
But i didn't want it. At least, not under current circumstances.
I took a pen and paper and quickly scribbled a short note:
I'm sorry, I can't do this. I'm leaving.I looked away, not being able to believe I was doing this. But it had to be done. It had been a long enough year already. Besides, hadn't I known I'd have to do this eventually?
I shook my head, deciding not to think about it too much. With a newfound resolve, I closed my suitcase and grabbed my bags. Taking a deep breath, I headed out the door of my room.

Intriguing?
I hope the answer to that is yes, lol.
Even if its not as exciting now, it will get better, as you get to choose where this story goes!
After every chapter, I'll be asking one choice question that will determine the plot of the next chapter. The choice with the most votes wins. Simple, right? ;)Here's your first question:
North, East, South, or West?
