"So," Lala thought for a moment trying to think of something to say. "Where the hell are we going?" She looked over to Matthew, curiously.
He smiled and gave a quick chuckle. "I have no idea," he said glancing at Lala. "Where would you like to go?"
Lala gazed out the window taking in the other cars around them. "You wanted drinks earlier... Maybe let's get drunk and go shopping?"
Matthew looked over to Lala as he stopped at a red light, seeing a hopeful child like smile on her face, causing him to smile back. "Sounds good." The light turned green and he began driving. "I know a good place."
"Is it some place fancy?"
Matthew shrugged, staring at the road. "Sorta." He looked over, seeing Lala chew her nails. "Don't worry, you look perfect," she smiled at his words. "You'll be fine, I promise." There was that word, it made Lala's heart pound. Matthew noticed the change in her. "You haven't been many nice places huh?" Matthew's question confused himself, knowing Ben went many extravagant places.
"Not really," Lala paused for a moment. "I mean when I was young I did a lot with my father, he took me and Angel everywhere he could." Lala looked down at her lap, feeling a ting of pain thinking of her family.
"Who's Angel?"
Lala ran her hand through her hair, looking out the window. "My little sister." Staring back down at her lap she continued. "She went missing when I was young... The family kinda fell apart after that. So I didn't go many places with my father after that." Matthew's heart sunk, remembering who Angel was. What had he done to this poor family, to this poor girl that sat in his passenger seat, he thought. "After my mom and dad split, I lived with my mom in a small apartment, living... sorta week to week."
Matthew clenched his jaw, adjusting his sunglasses. "We're here," he blankly said, as they pulled into the parking lot.
Lala noticed Matthew's attitude change, and decided to stop talking about herself. She couldn't help but wonder why he seemed to be bothered about when she talked about herself. She pushed the thought aside stepping out of the car closing the door behind her as the valet walked up to the car. Matthew handed the keys off, not receiving a slip. Probably comes here a lot, she thought. Matthew reached for Lala's arm, taking ahold of the scratches Jack had left, causing her to jerk away.
Lala's eyes widened realizing what she had done as they both received glances from onlookers. Matthew worked his jaw, grabbing ahold of her roughing, pulling her to his side. "You pull away like that again, you'll regret it." He whispered harshly in her ear.
They quietly walked in, quickly being seated. Lala sat silently as Matthew ordered them drinks. After the waiter walked away, she spoke, "I'm sorry."
Matthew stared at the people around. "This was a mistake."
"N-no, I didn't mean--"
"Quiet," Matthew whispered as the waiter returned, setting drinks down and walking away. Once they were alone Matthew began to speak. "You are to do as I say, and if I take ahold of you, or fucking throw you on the floor and fuck you, you do it, you understand?"
Lala scrunched her eyebrows together, confusion reading on her face. "What happened to 'I won't make do anything you don't want to' huh?"
Matthew casually picked up his drink, taking a sip. "The rules have changed."
Lala swiftly chugged down the contents of her drink, needing all of the liquid courage she could get. "I don't believe you." She said setting the empty glass down. "I don't know what happened between here and the car but it's some bullshit." She then qickly stood. "I'm taking a piss, you understand?" She smirked.
