"Uh yes I called about rink time, no after school." Alex argued."How dare you sir there 12. Uh no it's just normal kids, uh no time ok." She sighed and hung up. She crossed of another name from the list. Evan and Nick were playing a hockey video game in the living room.
"I can't get past this goalie, who is he?" Nick asked.
"I don't know let's see. Name Koob13.
"He's our age played this game for 10,000 hours. Where are his parents. Never been scored on. I'm looking him up." Nick grabbed his phone.
They found his address and went to go find his house.
"Where almost there." Nick mumbled.
"Is it just me or does it feel like where gonna enter the house from IT." Nick shuddered. (YES WE STAN YOU).
"Go ahead." Nick shoved him towards the door. They mom let them into the house and led them towards the basement.
"Thank you Mrs. Koobler." Nick said.
"You welcome." She called out.
There he was Koob sitting on his chair playing the same video game.
"Koob13, I'm Evan and he's Nick. We've been playing against you all afternoon."
"And I think your in my Spanish class. Hola Amigo." Nick joked.
"Here's the thing. We"re starting a new hockey team. And you're such an amazing video game goalie. You're a wall." Evan explains. "We were wondering if you want to join us, be our wall."
"You mean upstairs?" Koob asked.
Evan hesitated. "Yeah. It would be upstairs, yeah, in an actual rink with ice and real people."
"Real people let you down." Koob sighed not taking his eyes on the video game.
"Believe me, I know that can be true. But..."
"And why would you think I could even play for real? I mean, look at me." Koob has always doubted himself.
Evan noticed a squishy ball near the table, so he picked it up and chucked right at Koob, he effortlessly swats it away. Next thing you know the boys were chucking balls and toys at Koob as he batted them away.
Nick was about to through a hammer. "To far." Evan whispered.
"That's called reflexes, Koob." Evan smiled. "You see things, dude, before and better than anyone. And that is what makes you special."
"Yeah, but then I'd have to wear pants." Koob went back to his video game.

"How can you have no ice time? You're the last place on my list." Alex huffed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Hello?"
Then Stephanie came over to Alex.
"It is so great you're trying to form a new team for Evan. You're so scrappy." Stephanie fake smiled.
"Thank you." Alex giggled sarcastically.
"So, update on the old apartment building? They're offering rent control tenants and cast buyout. It's not huge, but they're throwing in a three-month free membership to the buildings new gym. So, I need you to go down there."
She knew Stephanie didn't want to do it, so of course she would ask her.
"And hand out these brochures and just sell it to them."
"Uh, what happens to the people after the three-month gym membership's over?" Alex asked concerned.
"I don't know, but they're gonna be in fantastic shape."
"Right. But isn't that kind of, um...what's the word I'm looking for." Alex clicks her tongue. "Evil?"
"See, this is what I love about you. You alway want to fight for the little guy. You're so good."

Alex got in her car and drove all the way downtown.
"And also, you get a free three-month gym memes at the new building." Alex told somebody over the phone.
"But I won't be livin' there."
"That's correct, however- you know what? I wouldn't take this deal either. Thank you. Have a nice day." Alex gave up and threw out there rest of the brochures.
Then she saw a place that wasn't on her list.
'The Ice Palace'
She sneakily walked over on the side over to the Ice Palace.
