Claire's trial (ON HOLD)

chapter two

  We had been in the car for about three hours and my legs felt like pins and needles. So I asked if we could stop for a while so I could stretch. We stopped and Alex helped me out of the car and my legs gave, so I tripped right into his arms . “stupid legs” I mumble as I straighten back up and Alex had a smile on his face but it faded when I pulled away as Nick came around the car.

We had pulled off to a small storm I went to the bathroom which was surprisingly clean and when I tell Alex grabbed me and said “ close your eyes and follow me please ”.  He covered my eyes anyway and lead me  back to the car and helped me in. I was about to ask what he was up to when I felt him place something around my neck. My eyes snapped open and looked down at the beautiful locket around my neck. “its beautiful!! ” Alex smiled and spoke “ it is a  sapphire heart engraved with a black flame design. Do you like it?”  I looked up and smiled “ I love it ,thank you”

  Alex smiled as Nick got in to  the car and continue to speak “ we are so happy to have you any from your family, you never smiled and you were practically forbidden to go anywhere with  anyone. We were so shocked  when we met you and you had told us you were from the light witch clan .”

He was right I hated it there , I was always alone with no friends and what few friends I did manage to find .. well my family ran them off . That was before I met these two, for once in my life I was happy.

Nick broke my train of thought by speaking “ it's your choice now ,to do what you want to do with your freedom. Well take you anywhere you want or you can stay with us and well figure something out together, but I want.. No I need to hear what you want Claire .” They both had a serious but almost worried look to their face, like they thought I might juat abandon them . I turned to the window then closed my eyes and took a deep breath ,and when I opened my eyes again I looked at the two in front of me I didn't see them as vampires I seen them as people who truly cared for me . I smiled brightly at them both “ so where are we heading? Any place in particular?” Both their faces light up like it was Christmas and they smiled in pure bliss that I had not abandoned them . Alex still smiling spoke “ anywhere we what . but first let's find a place to sleep for a bit then well figure it out .... Together. ” We all had goofy smiles on our faces when we pulled out of the small store.
