Seoul, South Korea

It all started with Iseul inviting Yoongi for coffee dates in which he flirted with Yoongi, - shyly at first, then more surely - and was reciprocated.

But the two became friends before anything else.

In a Saturday afternoon in Autumn, the couple was at a cat cafe in Seoul. Jiyoon was in a high chair with them, holding his sippy cup with one hand and his Pororo chopsticks with the other, even though the food they were eating were pastries that didn’t require that sort of utensil.

Yoongi was laughing at a joke Iseul had said. The newly-formed couple was at a table, drinking creamy lattes and enjoying the company of each other and the dozen of purring cats around them.

Jiyoon, at almost two years of age, was in constant awe. He had just learned to say “kitty” and was saying it repeatedly in hopes of catching the attention of any of those fluffy beings. There were cats in Yoongi’s and Iseul’s laps, the one with Jiyoon’s appa having short black fur and facing the little boy at the table with mild curiosity.

Yoongi noticed Jiyoon’s dilemma - being stuck in the high chair, not able to approach the kitty - and brought it closer to his son. Iseul, watching the scene unfold before him, said “Aaaww!” as Jiyoon let go of his Pororo chopsticks to softly pat the cat’s head.
