the sun shone in a golden orange colour, blazing through the silk curtains that covered the balcony. the small peep from the curtains which was left slightly open reflected onto pico's face. he begins to groan as he tossed around to avoid the light from going on his face but got too distracted from it and decided to get up. he quietly stretches his arms and legs, putting back on the turtle neck and jeans that were now in his possession. he left his phone charging and on mute throughout the night, and switches it on.
'ah. shit.' it was still 5 in the morning, but it was already late for pico. he'd missed a number of calls and messages from his two old friends from kindergarten. he quickly got himself ready, quickly put his uzi in his pants the same way as lilith did, and headed towards the door. he looked back at the other two who were still peacefully sleeping, hearing gentle snoring every few seconds. the male gently smiled, walking back to them to give them a kiss in the forehead. before taking the spare key and closing the door, he heard a voice suddenly speak.
'hey... where are you going? it's too early.' it was lilith. she was now sat up on her bed, hair still messy but still looked pretty. 'uhm. i'm going to see few friends. i kinda missed their messages a few hours ago, and i feel like they're going to beat me up for it.' he laughs and rubs his head again. 'at this hour? pico, i know waking up early is healthy, but you need to get more sleep. i don't want you to be tired.' 'lilith, there's no need to worry. i won't leave and disappear like i did before.'
he shuts the door as quietly as he could, just managing to catch the key from dropping on the floor.
ah... i know i'll be in trouble with those two...
as he walked to the final flight of stairs, there was an extremely strong scent of coffee. it came from the reception. opening the doors to the reception, he tiptoes and peeks from the desk to check up on the two receptionists. eden was slumped on her chair, arms crossed and head looking up to the pearl-white ceiling. the desk itself was quite messy, at least most of it being filled up with empty coffee cups and other papers. her eyes were shut tight, and pico didn't want to disturb her, nor the male worker. cosmo was lying forwards towards his computer screen, just centimetres from falling off his chair, and hand resting on his face. his ebony hair that was meant to be slicked up was now blocking his eyes, now knowing he has a cute haircut. those poor two. exhausting themselves until they pretty much pass out. i should leave them alone even if they should be working, though, as they do deserve some rest.
pico walks out of the doors that slid open, the air being fairly cold yet warm. the roll of money bills still stuffed lazily into his pocket, he patiently watches the cars pass and fade into the rising sun. a taxi stops by and pico waves. unbelievably, it was a figure which was quite familiar to him. the taxi slows down and turns a bit for pico to come in, the lightly tinted windows rolling up the windows to reveal the figure.
'dad..? why are you here? how did you know i was here?' he looked at his father, his eyes circles with nothing but black bags and a stern look on his face. the intimidating face smiled, making him look a lot more cheerful. 'nice to see ya again, son! yer friends here are waiting for yah, and they sent me the address of where ya were so that i could drop by and pick you up. i didn't expect you to come to a place i was going t' show you earlier than i thought; since i used to come here as a kid.'
a voice in the car from the bluetooth speakers began to speak. 'hey, pico, it's me. john here also told me you were seeing someone, and i'd like to say i'm so happy! treat them the best with all your heart, but tell me how it goes, ok?'
pico raises an eyebrow but then nods to get into the yellow car, his father almost instantly beginning to drive at a fast speed.
