The virtue of the rawatib sunnah prayer
Narrated from Umm Habibah radhiyallahu 'anha, a wife of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him say, which means:
"It is not a servant who is a Muslim to pray 12 (twelve) rak'ahs for Allah every day, but Allah will build him a house (palace) in heaven." (Then) Umm Habibah radhiyallahu 'anha said; "After I heard this hadith I never left the sunnah prayers (rawatib) again."
(HR Muslim no. 728).
1. Better than the world and everything in it.
From Aisyah r.a that the Prophet SAW said: "Two raka'at fajar (sunnah prayer which is done before Fajr) is better than the world and everything in it."
(Reported by Muslim).
2. Built a house in heaven.
From Umm Habibah r.a, he said: "I have heard Rasulullah S.A.W. say:" Whoever prays in a day and night twelve rakats will be built for him a house in heaven, namely; four rak'ahs before midday and two rak'ahs afterward, two rak'ahs after sunset, two rak'ahs after evening prayer and two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer. "
(Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, he said, this hadith is hasan sahih).
3. Prohibited from the fire of hell.
From Umm Habibah Radhiallaahu anha, he said: "The Messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- said, 'Whoever keeps four rak'ahs before Dhuhr and four rak'ahs afterward, Allah forbids him from the fire of Hell.'
(Narrated by Abu Daud and At-Tirmidhi, he said this hadith is hasan sahih).
