Chapter 3

Lorenzo's POV

As I sat there in the meeting room with my brother waiting for the meeting with the CEO of the company.

Just as I was about to say something to my brother the door opened and my wife came to sight. Even though she was supposed to be my ex-wife, I didn't acknowledge her as so.

She walked in looking bewildered and stunned. I stated at her as I looked at how much she has changed over the last years or so. Her hair was short, just below her shoulders, her skin had gotten tan, and she didn't wear her glasses that sat on her pretty little button noes any more.

I as I continued to look at her a painful memory of the day I lost her resurfaced.

Flashback : 3 years ago

As I sat in my office ready to go home to my wife, my assistant entered my office and greeted me with a letter. After she walked out. I opened the letter and found pictures of my wife in bed with another man. I was so hurt and I couldn't believe she would do something so low. So I called my lawyer and told him to drop some divorce papers by my house asap. Then as the more I sat there the madder I got. I then proceeded to call my assistant, who I know was close with Victoria back into my office and I started kissing her, her lips didn't taste as good as Victoria's but I wanted to get back at her. Kissing led to one thing, and one thing led to another. By this time we were naked and in the middle of mid thrust. As my wife entered and I saw the look on her face, as I said " Sign the divorce papers and stay away from me." After this she practically sprinted out of my office and I knew it was the wrong move.

By the time I had arrived back home I went to my bar and began to walk upstairs to my bedroom to find that the divorce papers had already been signed and Victoria's rings on the bed. I slid my back down the wall and stared at those rings for what felt like years. After about A couple of months of sleeping by myself I knew I had to get Victoria back so I hired a private investigator but hit a dead end and let her go.

End of flashback

After that I was brought out of my thoughts by the voice of my brother.

"Shall we get started" Luca stated.

" Good evening, Mr. and Mr. D'Avanzo"
Was stated by my wife. Her voice was professional and emotionless, which hurt my heart but I tried not to show it. She took a seat a cross from up and then she started to speak.

" How will your investment into my companies benefit you and me?" She asked.

Just as I was finna reply my brother saw the look on my face and answers himself.

" Well it would essentially provide you with funds and give our company some more publicity, not that we need it, but think of it as a family favor."

After he said that I was expecting to see steam practically coming from out of her ears but instead she didn't pay it any attention. To admit it at the least I would've thought she still would've considered as her family and when I saw that she didn't I almost lost it but I could see why she wouldn't.

After this my brother continued to speak and I chimed in at some points up until, her personal assistant walked into the room.

"Excuse me, Ms. Sloan your children are here." She said .

That one statement, caused me so much pain. Not only this but it hit me like a tun of bricks because the thought of her having a family with another man hurt me so much. Then when I looked up at her her face had a look of nervousness and calm on it. I was thinking for a moment what if they are my kids.. Her last name is Sloan so I know she isn't married. Just then I was then brought out of my thoughts by the sound of Victoria's voice.

" Well, I will be sure to give you guys a call to see how my company will be able to accommodate y'all but now I have to get going." She said.

"Have a nice day Mr. and Mr. D'Avanzo." She said as she grabbed what she had brought into the meeting room and walked out.
