Everyday, the world was slowly falling apart, but today was faster than usual.

Clay had been asleep for a couple hours, until his slumber was well interrupted. It was his alarm, it had just gone off. He hasn't heard the sound of his alarming ringing for a while now. More like a couple months. Today was his first day back to school. He wasn't really motivated to go but pushed through his thoughts. He unraveled the sheets from his body and sat down, waiting for a while before getting up.

He walked to the bathroom, locking the door behind him. He brushed his teeth and got undressed. He turned on the shower waiting for it to turn warm. After he thought that it was warm enough, he stepped inside, letting the water above him slowly drop down onto his face and back. He felt relaxed, never wanting to leave. Sadly he had too, after 15 minutes of relaxing in the warm water. He stepped outside of the shower and dried up. He went back into his room and got dressed. He wore a while t-shirt with a dark brown sweater on top along with some jeans and sneakers. He grabbed his bag and walked down the corridor, he stopped at a certain door and knocked on it. "Jess, you ready?" he asked. "Yeah". She opened the door to see Clay waiting there. They both walked down the stairs, to the kitchen to say good morning to their parents.

Dream then stepped outside feeling a cold breeze slither down his spine. The smell of fresh air calmed him. He hadn't gone outside in a long time. He was then interrupted by his sister shoving him to the side, making her way to the passenger seat. Clay rolled his eyes and walked over to the car. They put their seatbelts on and Clay started the engine. On the way to school, Jess decided to play some music to lighten up the mood. Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood was now playing. Clay glanced over to his sister with a smug look on his face but then faced his direction back to the road. The rest of the car ride was normal, Jess was staring out the window, admiring the trees and flowers they passed by. Once they arrived the school parking lot. Clay parked his car, looking both left and right, making sure no one was in his way, then he parked. Jess and him opened the car doors and walked out, slamming the doors behind them.

Once they had arrived at the school entrance, they both went their separate ways. Jess went to what Clay was assuming, one of her friends while he went walking around trying to find his friends. He then spotted them by a couple of lockers a few rows ahead. He starts to walk up to them, then gets interrupted by a small person walking into him. He was wearing a navy blue beanie, barely showing his hair. "Oh my gosh, i'm so so sorry" the person said. "Heh don't worry about it, here, let me help" he said while grabbing books from the floor and handing them to the stranger. Clay smiled and walked away, going towards his friends. Once they realize that Clay was coming over, they smile at him and wave. Clay waved back, now walking in a faster pace. Once he had reached the small group of friends, he was introduced by his friends Nick, Tommy, Will, and Niki.

They had each said hi to each other. Clay bringing up small talk about their summer vacations, but in the back of his head, he was wondering where his best friend George was. Clay has two best friends, one of George, and the other one was Nick. They have known each other since they were all 11 years old. While he was running through his thoughts, he got interrupted by someone tapping his shoulder. The taps were soft and gentle. He turned around to see that it was one of his best friends. "George!" "Clay" "You're here!!". They both had big smiles on their faces. George leaned in for a hug, his arms around Clays neck while Clays arms were around Georges waist. George's head was buried deep into Clays sweater. Clay smiled and hugged him even more close. After around a minute of them hugging, they got interrupted by Nick clearing his throat, trying to get both their attentions. George let go of Clay and turned his head to Nick. "Wow, you still haven't said hi to me yet" Nick says, rolling his eyes. George smiles and goes in to hug Nick. In surprise, Nick hugs back. "There, are you happy again?" George says. Nick smirks and nods. "Yes, I guess that's fine for now".
