The Sirens blare outside my room giving me no choice but to see what's going on.

They blare louder as I slowly stalk to the window. I pull back the smooth fabric in front of me, and peek outside. I'm blinded right away and let them fall back into place.

Another murder, I ponder silently. I know I should be afraid, but for some reason I'm not.

It's been going on for a week now, and they police still haven't been able to catch the maniac on the lose.

There have been some rumors going around town that it's someone named 'Jeff the Killer', but I'm not so sure.

I peek out my window one more time before sighing and going to sleep.

*Later*

I wake suddenly and look up at my ceiling. Plain, boring, white. The most plain color I can think of is white, but I love it. I know others would think I am weird for liking the color white, honestly I don't care.

White it just reminds me of purity. Unstained by the other colors, it looks more innocent, as if, if you even touched it you would stain it. Making it impure of all innocence.

I felt sort of ring on my side and relies it's my phone. I quickly reach my hand to the side, pulling it out of the entangled blankets. With a heavy sigh I look at the time 2am.

Who could be calling me at this time? Glancing down a bit I realized it was my mom. I put the phone to my ear and pressing the little green button with my thumb.

"Hello," I mumbled into my phone. I don't think I pronounced it right, but I didn't think to correct myself.

"Raven!" A shrill voice echoed into my ear making me cringe.

"Hi mom," I breathed out.

"Thank god your alright." she sighed into the phone. "I heard there was a murder in our neighborhood and I just had to see if you were alright. So are you okay? Do you need me to come home? I can leave now if you want? Are you scared? Oh baby girl, it's gonna be-"

I interrupted her quickly. "Mom I'm fine. No need to worry." I said in one breath. "Plus you can't come home, the hospital needs you. Your the best doctor they have on the night crew." I stated, still laying in my bed and looking at the ceiling.

"Are you sure? I cou-"

"Mom I'm fine, no need to worry."

"Okay, fine" she mumbles something else about a nurse needing her and hangs up before I can even say goodbye.

There's my mom for you. Always to busy to chat for long. I glance around the room and sit up slowly arching my back in the process.

Now that I'm awake I don't think I can go back to sleep.

I throw the blankets off me and touch me toes to the soft carpet below. Stretching my toes I relax a little and relies I was kind of stiff. I stand up and walk toward my window.

Although I feel something telling me not to I make a crack in my curtains and sneak a look outside.

The sirens are gone and the snow had a beautiful glisten to it. The moon radiating of the snow like a dazeling light show..

But something was off.

By something I mean someone...

Someone was standing there looking at my window. About 20 feet away there he was, so close to my one story house that I could touch him. He were staring right at me.

And I couldn't look away.

His eyes looked at me as if planing to do something. He looked so cold standing in the snow, he was only wearing a white hoodie and black pants but there was something about that hoodie that made me stare longer. Then I released...

It was covered in blood,

and what made it weirder was,

He was smiling...
