Practice & Game #2

Monday

Today at school I got detention so I am gonna be like 15 minutes late. I got detention for disrespecting a teacher, stupid right?

I got out of detention and went to the ice rink. Weird how we're going their first practice, when I got their I got dressed. I put my skates on and skated out to where everyone was.

"Nice to see you joined us" Coach Bombay said to me

"I was in detention kinda had to be late" I said back to him rolling my eyes

"Ok so today we are working on fake falling, since you guys can't win we're learning hot to fall and make it look realistic."

Then we all started to practice fake falling I was pared with Avermen and we started to push each other around. We got into this line and started chanting "Take the fall! Act hurt! Get indignant!" And all of this other stuff. Towards the end of practice I was ached in pain and I think everyone else was to.

"Do you really think cheating will work Coach" I asked

"Well if you want to win it might" He said

"Shouldn't we play the right way" Charlie also asked budding into the conversation as everyone agreed with him.

"Do what I say I am the coach" After our coach said that I rolled my eyes scoffed and skated away and so did everyone else "Wait Grace I want to talk to you" I heard as I groaned and turned around.

"What"

"You told me to make sense outta being a hockey coach"

"Yeah well I meant to coach us with hockey not on how to cheat! I wanna do it the right way not the wrong way"

"Ok well why were you late"

"Detention. Disrespectful to a teacher, I'll see you at the game" I said leaving the rink to where the team was.

"So how was your detention" Goldberg asked

"Shut up. But if you must know it was boring"

"Yeah well what did coach want"

"At the game on Saturday I told him to make sense outta coachin' so I told him to start coaching us real hockey not cheats. But he got mad so I just left"

"We can't cheat our way, I mean what if we make to the playoffs we can't cheat their" Charlie said

"We're definitely not making it to the playoffs with this coach" Jesse said

"Yeah for real"

We were in warm ups put on the ice. Are coach showed up and didn't real have much to say. All through are game we were falling and I think everyone was really suspicious. "Cut the acting class coach or I forfeit to the jets" One of the referees said

"What, I am insulted" He responded with as he started talking to Charlie. "Now if one of those guys gets you in a corner like that I want you to grab your eye and hit the ice like it's hurt" "you got it?" He questioned as Charlie just skated away. I've known Charlie for years he is not the kind of guy to cheat, not even on a test he just doesn't have that kinda heart.

Charlie was cornered again the hockey stick was next to his eye. He's not gonna do it and I was right. The busier went off the coach through his arms down "Damnit" and it was until we were all in the locker room. Coach Bombay stormed in like he had a mission. "Charlie, Charlie what is the matter with you." Charlie had no response "When I tell you to do something you do it understand?"

"You can't make me cheat!" Charlie said storming away and out of the locker room. Then Terry and Jesse's Dad came in.

"So this is what I gave up my overtime pay, to see my kids taking falls. Jesse Terry, come on, let's go." Their Dad said as the two brothers got up and they all walked out. Bombay walked out after they did. I know he was embarrassed.
