" Hey man it's been too long" "I know man how have you been?" "Good good, I was just wondering if you wanted to come to a party tonight at my place I really want to speak to you again." "What time? "Around 9pm. So, i'll see you there?" "You sure will jj, see you later."
I hung up the phone. I missed JJ, we haven't spoke in so long. Ever since me and Harry split up I just lost contact with him, They were best friends so i'm not surprised we stopped talking. I don't even know why i'm going to this party he's obviously going to be there. If I see him again I might cry. I miss him.
SKIP TO THE PARTY
After a painfully long drive there I finally arrive. I step out of the car and pay the taxi driver and he speeds off. I watch as he drives off into the distance already regretting coming here. I take a few deep breaths and head towards the door. I see that the door is unlocked so I let myself in and look for the drinks. I spot some drinks and heads towards them but somebody stops me with a huge hug. " I missed you so so so much!" You could smell the alcohol coming from his mouth as he spoke. "I missed you to JJ." I reply whilst trying to awkwardly get out of his bear hug so I can have a drink. I slowly take his hands from around my waist and heads for the drinks as he immediately heads for the DJ. I sigh and take a sip of my beer. I'm used to the burn now, I suppose I've had quite a lot of practice lately. This is gonna be a long night.
Music blaring, bodies squashed together, drunk couples having the time of their lives. Its all getting to much for me to handle. I down the rest of my drink and stumble out of the kitchen. I approach the dance floor and suddenly stop in my tracks. it's him. he's here. Memories come flooding back to me as I stood there, frozen
"Come on Simon it'll be fun!" Harry said as he ran around in the rain. I stood at the window with a cup of tea watching him dance around. I put my cup down and grab my jacket. Harry runs too the door and drags me out into the pouring rain. We spin around and have fun as the sun sets and the rain splashes down. We eventually slow down as I grab him by the shoulders and look him in the eyes. I can finally see the small details like his rosy cheeks and the water droplets sitting comfortably on his eyelashes. I'm to busy admiring him to realise his face slowly moving towards mine. I grab his face as our lips collide.

I fix my tie for the tenth time, i'm just so nervous. I check my watch and panic. 7:05. Already five minutes late. I quickly grab my keys and hop into my car. I rush to Harry's apartment and knock on the door. After a couple of seconds a smartly dressed Harry appears in the doorway. "I'm really sorry i'm late I was just so nervous and didn't rea- "shhh it's fine. I was running a bit late myself." Harry interrupted as he grabbed my hand and locked his door. "So". He looked up at me, "Where are you taking me?" I smile at the excited look on his face. "You'll see." I smirk at my response and drag him towards my car. "No fair." He mumbled under his breath. I just chuckled and started the car.
As we arrive at the destination I gave a blindfold to Harry. "Can you put this on please?" "But why?" "Because I want it to be a surprise. " He looks at me uncertainly and puts on the blindfold. "You can trust me ok." "Ok". We don't say anything as I take his hands and lead him towards the table. I smile to myself as I slowly pull off his blindfold. He smiles and looks at me with tears in his eyes. I knew that he loved a nice candle lit dinner and also wanted to go stargazing so I thought, why not do both? We were on top of a small cliff edge with trees surrounding us. I put some fairy lights in the trees and in the middle sat a small table and a small rose petal path leading to it. The table was positioned so we could watch the sun set and see the stars as we ate our food. "So, do you like it?" I watched him as he just stared into the distance. After a while he looks at me and grabs my hands ."It's beautiful."

I watch from a distance as he sways along with the music and laughs at something that JJ had said. He looks beautiful. He looks so pretty. He looks happy. He looks so much happier with him than he ever was with me. Suddenly the music changes to a more slower one.

Tears start to form in my eyes as I watch them slowly lean in. I really want to look away but I can't , I want to leave but my feet are glued to the ground.

I can't take it anymore. I run as fast as I can to the nearest exit. I start to sob as I see them kiss in the corner of my eye. I finally get outside and sit on the front steps. I can hear cheering going on inside as I sit with my head in my hands.
