Words can hurt; they can hurt a lot,
They’re not just a little tickle; they are like a full-blown shot.
These words can come from anyone.
But why do they come at all,
It is so someone can have a good laugh while others fall.
Do people take amusement in watching others suffer,
To you it may be funny, but to me it makes life tougher.
Why do you say these things that make me feel pain,
Is there something extra? Something for you to gain.
I want you to ask yourself a question,
Why is it that all our minds are acting out aggression.
What is happening in our society that makes us this way,
I hope, wish and pray it won’t be like this one day.
Is it really so hard for you to be kind,
I question a lot what goes on in your mind.
